ORDINANCE NO. 9,2-1 c AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AMENDING ORDINANCE 7974, THE CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE, AND APPROVING CHANNELS TO BE CARRIED, RATES, AND ALLOWING INTERNATIONAL TELEMETER CORPORATION TO CONNECT SUBSCRIBERS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS : Section 1. That Section 2, paragraph 2 , page 2 of Ordinance 7974, shall be construed to be in conformity with the ruling of the Federal Communications Commission ruling requiring that certain Cable Television operations shall originate some programs and may solicit some advertising but shall not charge the indivi- dual customer an additional fee for viewing the program. Section 2. In accordance with Ordinance 7974, Section 13, the City Council hereby gives its approval to International Telemeter Corporation to carry any or all of the following channels on the cable system, as available on the microwave system: CABLE NETWORK CHANNEL STATION LOCATION AFFILIATION NUMBER KTVI-2 St. Louis ABC 2 WDAF-4 Kansas City NBC 3 KMOK-4 St. Louis CBS 4 KSD-5 St. Louis NBC 5 KCMO-5 Kansas City CBS 6 KCSD-19 Kansas City Educational 7 KOMU-8 Columbia NBC / ABC 8 KETC-9 St. Louis Educational 9 KMBC-9 Kansas City ABC 10 KPLR-11 St. Louis Independent 11 KRCG-13 Jefferson City CBS / ABC 12 Section 3. In accordance with Section 15 of Ordinance 7974 the City Council hereby gives its approval to the following rates to be charged: Individual subscribers - - - - - - - - - $4.50 per month Each additional set - - - - - - - - - - - 1.00 per month Commercial rates (Motels, Hotels , etc .) - 4.50 per month for first set Additional sets - 2 to 19 sets - per set- 1.00 per month 20 to 49 sets - per set- . 90 per month 50 to 99 sets - per set- .80 per month 100 and over - per set- . 70 per month Multiple residence rates . These rates shall apply where the 7 ,t owner of the property accepts billings for all sets and charges on the property: First hook-up per apartment building or mobile home park - - - $ 4 . 50 per month Additional hook-ups - per set - - - - - 2. 50 per month Additional sets in the same apartment or mobile home - per set - - - - - 1.00 per month All service charges on any hook-up shall be free of charge to the J Ask customer. Initial installation shall not exceed fifteen ($15.00) dollars and all relocation of cables requiring new installation shall not exceed seven ($7.00) dollars . Moving outlets , transfers of ownership, reconnections, shall not exceed five ($5.00) dolla::s each. Where a subscriber requests underground cables from the lines an additional charge not exceeding fifty ( . 50) cents per lineal foot may be charged. For two weeks after a designated area is available for hook-up all subscribers shall have tree installation -&6 GGti ��-•� GLr-dL� �'� L7�"d� Section 4. Amend Section 15 of Ordinance 7974 to read as follows : "International Telemeter Corporation may install its services from the cable to the subscriber's home and connect the subscriber' s television sets to the cable. All work in connection with the installation may be done by International Telemeter Corporation except adjustment, maintenance or repair of the subscriber' s television set or sets." Section 5. In accordance with Section 19 of Ordinance 7974 the City Council hereby gives its approval to the following extension rule of International Telemeter Corporation: "The Company shall install service to any customer who is located within 1-5-06 feet of the cable system, as shown on trie original system maps on file with the Director of Public Works. , All other subscribers may incur additional charges for hook-up, which shall be negotiated between the Company and the subscriber." - 2 - Section 6.
