AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CREATING THE
OFFICE OF DEPUTY POLICE COURT CLERK, AND PRESCRIBING THE METHOD
OF APPOINTMENT, QUALIFICATIONS, TERM, DUTIES AND COMPENSATION OF
THE OFFICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 7926 is hereby repealed.
Section 2 . Deputy Police Court Clerk. The office of
Deputy Police Court Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, is
hereby created and established.
Section 3. Appointment and Term. The Deputy Police Court
Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of a major-
ity of the elected members of the City Council. She shall hold
her office at the pleasure of the Mayor or until removed by the
City Council in accordance with the ordinances of the City.
Section 4. Qualifications . The Deputy Police Court Clerk
shall be a resident of the City, at least twenty--one (21) years of
age, and shall have completed at least two (2) years of high school .
Section 5. Duties. The Deputy Police Court Clerk shall
assist the Police Court Clerk in her duties.
Section 6. Compensation. The Deputy Police Court Clerk
shall receive the following compensation:

Section 7. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage and
approval.
