Also in attendance were architect Andy Laidlaw and engineer Lee Bean. Old Business: #3 Fairway Renovation: The committee discussed several areas of concern associated with construction in early spring. It was agreed the biggest concern was the possibility of construction delays due to seasonably wet weather in May and June. With early spring thaw and extremely wet soil conditions, it is believed conditions would be too severe to begin work in the spring. Advice from Bean and Laidlaw suggest the project start early in September of 1989. However, Bean believes he can write the majority of the spec now with the chance of completion of specs during the first part of May. Also discussed was the removal of snow from #3 Fairway. The possibilities of snow removal will be discussed with Alan Hess of Hess Construction. The committee questioned whether or not snow removal would be beneficial to early spring start-up of construction. Most of what the committee discussed with Bean and Laidlaw will rely upon what Mother Nature delivers during those early months in the spring. Following discussion, Engen motioned that the committee direct Hormaechea to discuss with Alcano the concerns of the committee. Hormaechea will inform Alacano of the Committee's recommendation to start construction after Labor Day with completion by snow fall. The committee will continue to work towards construction in early spring if weather permits. Dan will inquire if this course of action is acceptable to Alacano and Associates. Collins seconded, all were in favor. The motion passed unanimously. The next meeting is February 14, 1989. Meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM. Dan Hormaechea
