INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN ORDINANCE NO. a7� AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX BILL AGAINST THE LOTS OR TRACTS OF LAND FRONTING AND ABUTTING ON THE ROADWAY OF CHESTNUT STREET, FROM THE END OF THE EXISTING CONCRETE PAVE- MENT AT GOLD STREET, NORTHERLY 962 FEET TO THE END OF A 33 FOOT CONCRETE PAVEMENT IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF SAID ROADWAY BY PAVING WITH PORTLAND CEMENT CON- CRETE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed at the rate and cost price per front foot as specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance, against the aggregate lots or tracts of land fronting or abutting on the roadway of Chestnut Street from the end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street northerly 962 feet to the end of a 33 foot concrete pavement in the City of Jeffer- son, Missouri, for the improvement of the roadway of Chestnut Street, aforesaid, the sum of $24,830.95 as the total costs of the improvement of said street and the number of front feet fronting or abutting said roadway of said Chestnut Street, aforesaid, between the aforesaid end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street and the end of a 33 foot concrete pave- ment, amount to 1594. 3 front feet; the cost price per front foot is $15 .57483 . SECTION 2. For the purpose of paying said improvement of said roadway of Chestnut Street from the end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street northerly 962 feet to the end of a 33 foot concrete pavement, there is hereby levied and assessed the sum of $15,57483 as a special tax against each front foot of ground fronting or abutting said roadway of Chestnut Street from the end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street northerly 962 feet to the end of a 33 foot concret pavement, and contained in such lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said improved roadway of said Chestnut Street. SECTION 3. The name of each property owner or owners and the description of each lot or piece of ground fronting or abut- ting on each side of Chestnut Street and the number of front feet owned by each owner or owners and contained in the lots or tracts of land so owned and abutting said street or block between the aforesaid end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street and the end of a 33 foot concrete pavement and the cost price per front foot for said improvement and the amount hereby levied and assessed as a special tax for said improvement against each lot or piece of ground fronting or abutting said - 2 .- Chestnut Street from the end of the existing concrete pavement at Gold Street northerly 962 feet to the end of a 33 foot con- ' .. crete pavement, is listed as follows : `Y Jack L. Cure, owner of Lot 41, Roseland Addition of the City of Jefferson, Missouri. Assessment: 135 .0 feet @ $15 .57483 Cost: $2, 102 . 60 Jeen H. Harrison and Eldred Norman Harrison, her husband, owners of Lot 63, Roseland Addition of the City of Jefferson, Missouri Assessment: 135 .0 feet C $15 .57483 Cost: $2, 102 .60 Edwin E. Goldammer and Rosemary Goldammer, his wife., owners of part of Outlot No. 96, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: From the southwesterly corner of Outlot No. 96; thence South 54 degrees 22 minutes east, along the southwesterly line of said Outlot, 15 feet ; thence North 35 degrees 32 minutes east, 30 feet, to a point on the northeasterly right-of-way line of Carol Street, and the beginning point of this description; thence continuing North 35 degrees 32 minutes east, 125 feet; ` thence South 54 degrees 22 minutes east, 329.03 feet; thence South 35 degrees 38 minutes west, 125 feet, to a point on the northeasterly right-of-way line of Carol Street; thence North 54 degrees 22 minutes west, along said northeasterly right-of-way line, 329.03 feet, to the beginning point of this description . Assessment: 125.0 feet @ $15 .57483 Cost: $1, 946.85 Arthur Lee Hammons and Marcia Hammons, husband and wife, jointly owners of part of Outlot 90 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, particularly described as follows : Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said Outlot No. 90, thence running southerly along the easterly line thereof 486 .70 feet, thence westerly parallel with the northerly line of said Outlot 417 feet and 6 inches, thence southerly parallel with the easterly line of said Outlot 417 feet and 6 inches, thence west- erly parallel with the northerly line thereof 544 feet and 4 inches to the westerly line of said Outlot, thence northerly with said westerly line 904.20 feet to the northwesterly corner of said Outlot, thence easterly with said northerly line 964 feet and 10 inches to the point of beginning. Assessment: 486.70 feet @ $15 .57483 Cost: $7,580.27 William L. Renner and Katherine K. Renner, his wife, owners of part of Outlot of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, numbered 90, described as follows : Beginning at a point on the easterly line of said Outlot 486.7 feet from the northeasterly corner of said Outlot, thence westerly parallel with the northerly line of said Outlot 417 feet 6 inches, thence southerly paralle with the easterly line 417 feet 6 inches; thence easterly paral el with the northerly line of said Outlot 417 feet 6 inches to the place of beginning, containing 4 acres . Also 18 acres being the middle part of Outlot No. 90 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, beginning on the westerly line of said Outlot 2423 links from the northwest corner of said Outlot thence easterly parallel with the northerly line of said { +2 `3- Outlot 633 links, thence southerly parallel with the westerly line 317 links, thence easterly parallel with the northerly line 829 links to the easterly line of said Outlot, thence northerly % ;... with said line 1373 links, thence westerly parallel with the northerly line 1472 links to the westerly line of said Outlot, thence southerly with said line 1056 links to the place of beginning. Assessment: 440 feet @ $15 .57483 Cost : $6,852 .93 SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to make out special tax bills in favor of the contractor, Don Cure Construction Company, for the within mentioned work in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, relative to said kind of work and in accordance with the Ordinance of said City in regard to said work.
