ORDINANCE NO. 92 23
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAY OF
ST. LOUIS ROAD FROM ITS EASTERLY INTERSECTION WITH McCARTY
STREET TO ITS WESTERLY INTERSECTION WITH McCARTY STREET IN THE
CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , BY CURBING AND GUTTERING WITH PORT-
LAND CEMENT CONCRETE AND PAVING BY DOUBLE SEALCOATING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UEFFERSON, AS
FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Whereas, it was heretofore .found and declared
by the City Council, by its resolution, passed and approved on
May 4, 1970, necessary to improve the roadway of St . Louis Road
from its easterly intersection with McCarty Street to its
AM westerly intersection with McCarty Street in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, by curbing and guttering with portland �
cement concrete and paving by double sealcoating, and it
appearing to the City Council that said resolution has been
duly published according to the law for seven (7) consecutive
insertions, in the Port Tribune, a daily newspaper, printed
and published in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and a
majority of the resident owners of property along said section
of St. Louis Road liable for the costs of said improvement, and
who own a majority of the front feet on said St. .Louis Road
intended to be improved, have not filed with the City Clerk
a protest against said contemplated improvement.
SECTION 2. That the said road of St. Louis Road from its
easterly intersection with McCarty to its westerly intersection
with McCarty Street, in accordance with the plans an specifi-
cations submitted by 'the Director of Public Works and filed in th
office of the City Clerk, and that the total cost of the work
aforesaid shall be charged and levied as a special assessment
against the real estate abutting and fronting on said contemplate
improvement, and special tax bills shall be issued therefore, as
provided in the City Charter, and in Sections 826, 827, 828, 829 and
767 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, 1956, and of the Revised Statutes of the
State of Missouri, 1959, and amendments thereto.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works is hereby
instructed to advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
