ORDINANCE NO. 51_3o g'
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON SUSPENDING THE REQUIREMENTS
OF CITY RESIDENCY FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All employees of the City of Jefferson who,
as a condition of their employment, are required to take a merit
examination, may reside within a ten (10) mile radius of the City
Limits of the City of Jefferson. Provided, however, that said
non-resident employee shall agree to purchase and shall purchase
a current City auto license. All sections of all ordinances in
conflict with this provision are hereby repealed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage and approval.

AMENDMENT TO BILL NO. 47
AMEND BILL NO. 47 to read as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON REQUIRING CITY RESIDENCY
FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. All of the following employees of the City of
Jefferson shall be required to be residents of the City and to
live within the City of Jefferson:
1. Elected Officials.
2. Chief of Police
3. All Police Officers with rank of Lieutenant
and, above.
4. Fire Chief
5'. All members of the- Fire Department with
rank of Lieutenant and above.
6. Director of Public Works.
7. Sewer Commissioner. .
8. Street Commissioner`.
9. Manager of Transit Authority.
10. Director of Finance.
11. City Clerk.
12. Planning Director.
13. Parking Garage Supervisor.
14. Director of Health.
15. Airport Manager.
16. Park Director.
Section 2. All other employees' of the City of Jefferson
shall be required to reside within a ten (10) mile radius of the
City Limits of the City of Jefferson.
Section 3. All employees of the..City of Jefferson,
regardless of their residency, shall- agr.ee ,to purchase and shall
purchase a City auto license for all automobiles owned by them,
as, a condition of their employment.

Section 4. All sections of all Ordinances in conflict with

force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
