ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 8177, THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION PROHIBITING LEFT HAND TURNS
FROM HIGH STREET ON TO BROOKS STREET; ESTABLISHING A FOUR-WAY :`TOP
AT THE MADISON STREET-CAPITOL AVENUE INTERSECTION; PROHIBITING
PARKING ON THE EAST HALF OF WEST ARMORY DRIVE; PROHIBITING PARKING
ON BOTH SIDES OF ALLEY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HIGHWAY 50 WEST,
EXTENDING FROM DIX ROAD TO BECK STREET; ESTABLISHING TWO-HOUR
PARKING ON THE WEST HALF OF MONROE STREET BETWEEN DUNKLIN AND
ASHLEY STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Add a new Section to The Parking and Traffic
Code, to be known as "Section 6.085. Left turns prohibited. ",
which shall read as follows:
Section 6.085. Left turns prohibited.
(a) Left turns shall be prohibited at all
times from High Street on to Brooks
Street.
Section 2. Amend Section 6. 160 - Right of way, specific
intersections - by striking (23) .
Section 3. Amend Section 6.190 - Stop signs, obedience to
by adding under (B) :
(277) Capitol Avenue before entering Madison Street.
(862) Madison Street before entering Capitol Avenue.
Section 4. Amend Section 10.100 - Parking prohibited at all
times - by adding under (A) :
(32) On the east half of West Armory Drive
extending 350 feet north of St. Mary's
Boulevard.
by adding under (B) :
(907) On both sides of the alley on the north
side of Highway 50 west, extending from
Dix Road to Beck Street.
Section 5. Amend Section 10. 150 - Two hour parking - by
riding under (A) :
(211) On the west half of Monroe Street between
Dunklin and Ashley Streets.

Section 6. This ordinance shall be in effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
