AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AMENDING AND MODIFYING THE
PUBLIC OFFENSE CODE, ORDINANCE NO. 8207.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEF1,,. ,SON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Ordinance No. 8207, The Public Offense
Code, by adding sub-paragraph 11.4 under Section 9, which
sub-paragraph shall read as follows:
"11.4 Refusing to obey summons . It shall be unlawful
for any person to refuse, destroy or throw away, or
mutilate any traffic summons issued by any Police
Officer. "
Section 2. Amend Ordinance No. 8207, The Public Offense
Code, by changing sub-paragraph 1.1 under Section 1, to read as
follows:
"1.1 Penalty. Every person or persons who shall be
convicted of a misdemeanor, or of violating any of the
provisions of The Public Offense Code or any of the
provisions of any other Ordinances of this City, shall
be punished by a fine of not less than one ($1.00)
dollar or more than one hundred ($100.00) dollars, or
by imprisonment in jail for not exceeding ninety (90)
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment."
Section 3. This ordinance shall. be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
