July 18, 2022 Brewster Cultural Council: Clare O'Connor Rice, Chair; Richard O. Perry, Secretary; Girard Healy, Treasurer; Members -at -large, Dave lannitelli, Rebecca Alvin, and Eric Bohn Chair Clare O'Connor -Rice opened the meeting at 6:17 pm. Members present or attending via zoom: Clare O'Connor -Rice, Richard Perry, Dave lannitelli and Girard Healy. Minutes of the June 13, 2022 meeting were approved. Treasurer's Report we have $1,075.00 in our account, with $500 to the Alzheimer's group outstanding because they have not completed their submission. The Council also received $1,000 from the Town on July 1, 2022. We owe $500 for Conservation Day expenses.. All agreed that the $50 gift certificate received for winning for best exhibit at the Conservation Day event should go to Eric Bohn and his children for their efforts that day. General discussion of Gery's three points as priority: Create a plan, enhance outreach to the public and to Brewster artists, and establish clear priorities for increasing visibility of art and culture in the Town.The actual amount spent on Conservation Day was $496.79. Grant priorities due September 1 for the Fall grants was discussed. Applicants from Brewster, events held in Brewster and more diverse arts topping the priorities to be confirmed by Clare. All agreed there should be more outreach by the Council to local artists. Clare discussed applying for an MCC post covid grant and will attend the 8/10 and 8/23 webinars explaining the application process..All supported a motion to have Clare apply. Clare will inform the Council of the time and date of our next meeting in September. Meeting adjourned shortly after 6:00. pm. Respectfully submitted by Richard Perry, Secretary
