Meeting Minutes
November 21, 2022
Brewster Cultural Council: Clare O'Connor Rice, Chair, Richard O. Perry, Secretary,
Girard Healy, Treasurer; Members -at -large, Dave lannitelli, Rebecca Alvin, and Eric Bohn
Chair Clare O'Connor -Rice called the meeting to order at 5:15 pm.
Members present or attending via zoom: Girard Healy chaired; Clare O'Connor -Rice, Richard
Perry, Dave lannitelli, and Rebecca Alvin.
Jan Crocker also attended and will join the board in early December.
Clare or Rebecca will see if Eric Bohn is still active.
Minutes of the October 17, 2022 meeting were approved.
Discussion of various cultural council sponsored activities including the 2023 art show at the
Library, a literary night, a talent show and other liaison possibilities were discussed.
Rebecca will coordinate the literary night and Richard the April art show.
The process for reviewing the grant applications on 12/12 was discussed with priorities being :
1 Brewster residents; 2 Event in Brewster; 3 Cultural diversity in Brewster. Various other factors
were discussed but not agreed upon. It was agreed that each application would be discussed
and scored in order using the standard 0-20 score sheet with the exception of one rejected as
not applicable for 2023 funding and two involving board members' conflicts of interest which
would be decided last with those members not taking part.
Clare will see if the December 30 deadline can be extended to January 17, 2023.
The next meeting is set for December 12 at 5pm.
The meeting was adjourned at about 6:30 pm
