AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
SECTION 715 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON
OF 1956 RELATING TO THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS AND
ENACTING A NEW SUBSECTION RELATING TO THE SALE OF INTOXICATING
LIQUORS BY RESTAURANT BARS ON SUNDAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 715 of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Jefferson of 1956 , relating to the sale of
intoxicating liquors , be amended by adding subparagraph (i)
to read in words and figures as follows , to wit:
(i) Reta1.1ers operating a restaurant bar on Sunday
shall pay a license fee of $300. 00 in addition to
the license fee required by any other subsection
of this section.
For the purpose of this article , a restaurant
bar is defined as any establishment having a restaurant
or similar facility on the premises at least 50
percent of the gross income of which is derived from
the sale of prepared meals or .food. ronsumed on such
premises.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this
chapter to ths' contrary, any person who possesses
the qualifications of this subsection may apply
for a license to sell. intoxicating liquors as
defined in this subsection, between , the hours of
1:00 p,m. and midnight on Sunday by the drink at
retail for consummation on the premises of any
restaurant bar as described in the application.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect
.from and after its passage and approval.
