AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
AND THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, THE SAME POWERS AND DUTIES -WITHIN A DESCRIBED
PORTION OF THAT UNINCORPORATED AREA EXTENDING NOT MORE THAN
TWO MILES OUTWARD FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY AS
THEY EXERCISE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE .CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS;

Section 1. This ordinance is adopted .nursuant to
authority granted by Section 89.144 RSMo, Cum. Supp. 1971.

Section 2. The Planning and Zoning Commission and
the Board of Adjustment shall have the same powers and
duties within the unincorporated. a;ea extending not more
than two males outward from the corporate limits of the
City, as they now exercise within the corporate limits of
th,e ,Cit;y; and the . said' unincorporated area being described
as follows: '

Beginning ,at a point on the line between Cole County,
Missouri and Callaway County, Missouri, said point being
the intersection of the centerline of the Missouri River
and the rangeline between R10W and R11W; thence southerly
along said rangeline to the southeast corner of section 24,
T44N, R11W; thence westerly along the south line of -aid
section 24 to the northeast corner of the northwest quarter
of section 25, T44N, R11W; thence southerly along the north-
south centerline of said section 25 to the southerly line of
said section 25; thence westerly along the south line of
said section 25 to the northeast corner of the northeast
quarter of section 35, T44N, R11W; thence southerly along
the east line of said northeast quarterto the southeast
corner of the northeast quarter of said section 35; thence
westerly along the east-west centerline of sections 35, 34
;r and 33, T44N, R11W to the westerly line -of said section 33;

thence westerly along the southerly line of said section 21
to the north-south centerline of said section; thence
northerly along the north-south centerline of said section
21 to the northerly line thereof; thence westerly along

the north-south centerline of said section 17 ; thence north-
erly along the north-south centerline of said section 17
to the center of said section 17 ; thence westerly along the
' east-west centerline of said section 17 to the westerly line
thereof; thence northerly along the easterly line of frac-
tional section 18, T44N, R12W to the northeast corner thereof;
thence westerly along the southerly line of fractional sec
tion 17, T44N, R12W, 1320 feet; thence northerly parallel to
the easterly line of said fractional section 7 to the north-
erly line thereof; thence easterly along the northerly line
of said fractional section 7 to the southwest corner of sec-
tion 5, T44N, R12W; thence northerly along the westerly line
of said section 5 to the northwest corner thereof; thence
easterly along the township line between T44N and T45N to
the southwesterly corner. of section 32, T45N, R12W; thence
northerly along the westerly line of said section 32 to the
east-west centerline of said section 32; thence easterly

center of said section 32; thence northerly along the north-
south centerlines of sections 32 and 29, T45N, R12W to the
northerly line of said section 29, thence easterly along the
northerly line of said section 29 to the southwest corner
of section 21, T45N, R12W; thence northerly along the west-
erly line of said section 21 to the east-west centerline
of said section 21; thence easterly along the east-west,
centerline of said' section 21 to the easterly line of sec-
tion 21; thence northerly along the easterly line of said
section 21 and the extension thereof to a point on the line
between Cole County, Missouri and Boone County, Missouri
said point being on the centerline of the Missouri River;
thence southeasterly along the centerline of the Missouri
to the point of beginning. All land encompassed ' lies in
Cole County, Missouri.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from
and after its date of passage and approval.
