ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 8118 OF THE CITY WHICH ESTABLISHED VOTING PRECINCTS
IN THE WARDS OF THE CITY AND DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF AND
ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following voting precincts are hereby estab-
lished in the wards of the city:
A. First Ward
1) lst Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point where the centerlines of
East Dunklin Street and Jackson Street intersect; thence
easterly along the centerline of East Dunklin Street to
the centerline of Clark Avenue; thence northerly along th
centerline of Clark Avenue to the centerline of East
McCarty Street ; thence easterly along the centerline of
East McCarty Street to the centerline of Benton Street ;
thence northerly along the centerline of Benton Street to
the centerline of East Capitol Avenue; thence westerly a-
long the centerline of East Capitol Avenue to the center-
line of Sullivan Street ; thence northerly along the cen-
terline of Sullivan Street to the centerline of Riviera
Street; thence westerly along the centerline of Riviera
Street to the centerline of East Capitol Avenue; thence
westerly along the centerline of East Capitol Avenue to
the centerline of Lafayette Street ; thence southerly alon
the centerline of Lafayette Street -to the centerline of
East McCarty Street; thence westerly along the centerline
of East McCarty Street to the centerline of Marshall Stre t;
thence southerly along the centerline of Marshall Street
li to the centerline of East Miller. Street ; thence westerly
along the centerline of East Miller Street to the center-
line of Jackson Street; thence southerly along the center
line of Jackson Street to the point of beginning.
�I2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as
i follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
the Missouri River is intersected by the northerly exten-
sion of the centerline of Sullivan Street; thence souther y
along said extension and the centerline of Sullivan Stree
to the centerline of Capitol Avenue; thence easterly alon
the centerline of Capitol Avenue to the centerline of
Benton Street ; thence southerly along the centerline of
Benton Street to the centerline of East High Street; thence
easterly along the centerline of East High Street to the
centerline of East McCarty Street; thence easterly along
the centerline of East McCarty Street till its intersection
with the centerline of Boggs Creek; thence northerly along
the centerline of Boggs Creek -to the southerly bank of the
Missouri River; thence in a northerly direction from the
point perpendicular to the corporate limits, being the
centerline of the Missouri River, to the center of the
River, thence westerly along the corporate limit to the
point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Benton Street and the centerline of East High Street inte -
sect, thence easterly along the centerline of East High
Street to the centerline of East McCarty Street; thence
easterly along the centerline of East McCarty Street till
its intersection with the centerline of Boggs Creek;

thence southerly along the centerline of Bo gg s Creek to
the southerly right-of-way line of U. S . Route 50, thence
westerly along the aforementioned U. S. Route 50 to the
southerly line of Section 21, Township 44, Range 11; thence
northerly parallel to the easterly line of said Section 2
to the centerline of U. S . Route 50; thence westerly alon
the centerline of U. S . Route 50 to the centerline of
Clark Avenue;thence northerly along the centerline of
Clark Avenue to the centerline of East McCarty Street ;
thence easterly along the centerline of East McCarty Stre t

4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning in the center of the Missouri River
at a point on the extension northerly of the westerly
line of Private Survey #2680; thence southerly along the
said northerly extension and the westerly line of Private
Survey ##2680 -to the northeasterly corner of Section 22,
Township 44, Range 11, thence southwesterly in a direct
line to the southerly right-of-way line of U. S . Route #5
at Station 225+00 (Mo. Project F-1 (12) ) ; thence westerly
along the southerly right-of-way line of U. S . Route 50
till its intersection with the centerline of Bogg's Creek
thence northerly along the centerline of Boggs Creel-, to
the southerly bank of the Missouri River; thence in a
northerly direction from this point perpendicular to the
j. corporate limits ; being the centerline of the Missouri
River; to the center of the river, thence easterly along
the corporate limit to the point of beginning.
B. Second Ward
1)': 1st Precinct - The first precinct shall. be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the center of the Missouri River and the northerly
extension of the centerline of Sullivan Street ; thence
southerly along the northerly extension of Sullivan Stree
to the centerline of Riviera Street; thence westerly alon
the centerline of Riviera Street to the centerline of East
Capitol Avenue; thence westerly along the centerline of
East Capitol Avenue to the centerline of Lafayette Street
thence southerly along the centerline of Lafayette Street
to the centerline of East McCarty Street; thence westerly
along the centerline of East McCarty Street to the center-
line of Marshall Street; thence southerly along the cente -
line of Marshall Street to the centerline of East Miller
Street; thence westerly along the centerline of East
Miller Street to the centerline of Jackson Street ; thence
southerly along the centerline of Jackson Street to the
centerline of U. S . Route 50; -thence westerly along the
centerline of U. S . Route 50 to the centerline of Broadway
Street; thence northerly along the centerline and the
northerly extension of the centerline of Broadway Street
to the center of the Missouri River; thence westerly alon
the center of the Missouri River to a point where it is
intersected by a perpendicular line from the east bank of
Turkey Creek (formerly Cedar Creek) ; thence from this
point follow along and with the corporate city limits ;
in a clockwise direction back to the point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the centerline of Broadway Street and the centerAne of U.
S . Route 50; thence northerly along the centerline of
Broadway Street and the northerly extension of Broadway
Street to the center of the Missouri River; thence wester y
along the centerline of the Missouri River till its
intersection with the northerly extension of the center-
line of Brooks Street ; thence southerly along the northerly
extension of the centerline of Brooks Street and the
centerline of Brooks Street to the centerline of Industrial
Drive; thence easterly along the centerline of Industrial
Drive to the centerline of West McCarty Street ; thence

3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the centerline of Jackson Street and the centerline of

4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the centerline of Industrial Drive and the centerline of
Argonne Street; thence easterly along the centerline of
Industrial Drive to the centerline of Brooks Street; thence
northerly along the centerline of Brooks Street and the
northerly extension of Brooks Street to a point being on
the center of the Missouri River; thence westerly along
the center of the Missouri River to a point being on the
northerly extension of the centerline of Hamlin Street;
thence southerly along the northern extension of Hamlin
Street, to the centerline of West Main Street; thence
westerly along the centerline of West Main Street to the
centerline of Vista Road; thence southerly along the
centerline of Vista Road to the centerline of West •McCart
Street; thence westerly along the centerline of West
McCarty Street to the centerline of Argonne Street, thenc
southerly along the centerline of Argonne Street to the

1C. Third Ward
1) lst Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point being the intersection of
Industrial Drive and the centerline of Argonne; thence
northerly along the centerline of Argonne to the center-
line of West McCarty Street; thence westerly along the
centerline of West McCarty Street to the centerline of
Vista Road; thence northerly along the centerline of Vist
Road to the centerline of West Main Street ; thence east-
erly along the centerline of West Main Street to its
intersection with the centerline of Hamlin Street; thence
northerly along the northerly extension of Hamlin Street
to the center of the Missouri River; thence northwesterly
along the center of the Missouri River to the northerly
extension of the centerline of Lowell Drive; thence
southerly along the northerly extension of Lowell Drive to
the centerline of Boonville Road; thence southerly along
the centerline of Boonville Road to the centerline of West
Main Street ; thence westerly along the centerline of West
Main Street to the southerly extension of Forest Hill;
thence southerly along the southerly extension of Forest
Hill to the centerline of Industrial Drive; thence east-
erly along the centerline of Industrial Drive to the
point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point on the centerline of the
Missouri River where it is intersected by the northerly
extension of Lowell Drive; thence southerly along the
northerly extension of Lowell Rrive to the centerline of
Boonville Road; thence southerly along the centerline of
Boonville Road to the centerline of West Main Street ;
thence westerly along the centerline of West Main Street
to the centerline of Forest Hill; thence southerly along

the southerly extension of Forest Hill to the centerline
of Industrial Drive; thence westerly along the centerline
of Industrial Drive to the southerly extension of the
centerline of Ridgeway Drive; thence northerly along the
southerly extension of Ridgeway Drive, the centerline of
Ridgeway Drive and the northerly extension thereof to its
intersection with a line which is parallel to and 150 foot
" southeasterly of the centerline of Norris Drive; thence

erly extension thereof to the corporate limits line of
Jefferson City as defined in Ordinance No. 8383 ; thence
easterly along said corporate limits to the point of
beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point on the centerline of
Industrial Drive where it is intersected by the southerly
extension of Ridgeway Drive; thence northerly along the
southerly extension of Ridgeway Drive; the centerline of
..- Ridgeway Drive and northerly extension thereof to its
intersection with a line which is parallel to and 150
foot southeasterly of the centerline of Norris Drive;
thence northeasterly along said parallel line and the
extension thereof to its intersection with the corporate
limits of said City as defined in Ordinance No. 8383; thence
northwesterly along said corporate Limits to the center-
line of Rock Hill Road; -thence southerly along the center-
line of Rock Hill Road to the centerline of industrial
Drive; thence easterly along the centerline of Industrial
Drive to the point of beginning.
�) 4) 4th Precinct - The .fourth precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the centerline of Rock Hill Road and Industrial Drive;
thence easterly along the centerline of Industrial Drive
to the southerly extended centerline of Forest Hill;
thence southerly along the southerly extended centerline
of Forest Hill to the centerline of U. S . Route 50; -thence
westerly along the centerline of U. S. Route 50 to the
centerline of Schellridge Road; thence northerly along the
centerline of Schellridge Road to the centerline of Country
I Club Drive; thence westerly along the centerline of Count y
Club Drive tothe corporate limits; thence clockwise along
and with the corporate limits, as defined in Ordinance No
8383, to the centerline of Rock Hill Road; thence south-
erly along the centerline of Rock Hill Road to the point
of beginning.
D. Fourth Ward
1) _1st Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point being intersection of the
centerline of Industrial Drive and the centerline of West
McCarty Street; thence westerly along the centerline of
West McCarty Street to the centerline of U. S . Route 54;
thence southerly along the centerline of U. S . Route 54
till its intersection with the centerline of Wears Creek-
Frog Hollow Branch; thence westerly along the centerline
of Wears Creek-Frog Hollow Branch to the corporate limits
thence clockwise along the corporate limits, as defined
in Ordinance No. 8383 till its intersection with the
centerline of Country Club Drive; thence easterly along
the centerline of Country Club Drive to the centerline
of Schellridge Road; thence southerly along the centerlin
of Schellridge Road to the centerline of U. S . Route 50;
thence easterly along the centerline of U. S . Route 50 till
its intersection with the southerly extension of the cen-
terline of Forest Hill; thence northerly along the south-
erly extension of the centerline of Forest Hill till its
intersection with Industrial Drive; thence easterly along
the centerline of Industrail Drive to the point of begin-

2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as
follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of
the centerline of Swifts Highway and the centerline of
U. S . Route 54; thence easterly along the centerline of
Swifts Highway to the centerline of Myrtle Avenue; thence
southerly along the centerline of Myrtle Avenue to the
centerline of Swifts Highway; thence westerly along the
centerline of Swifts Highway to the centerline of Southwe t
Boulevard; thence northerly along the centerline of
Southwest Boulevard to the centerline of Swifts Highway;
thence westerly- along the centerline of Swifts Highway to
the centerline of Edgewood Drive; thence northerly along
the centerline of Edgewood Drive to the centerline of
West Edgewood Drive; thence westerly along the centerline
of West Edgewood Drive to the corporate limits ; thence
northerly with and along the corporate limits to the
point where the centerline of Wears Creek-Frog Hollow
Branch crosses the corporate limits, thence easterly alon
the centerline of Wears Creek - Frog Hollow Branch to the
centerline of U. S . Route 54; thence southerly along the
centerline of U. S . Route 54 to the point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Southwest Boulevard crosses the centerline of Swifts
Highway, thence easterly along the centerline of Swifts
Highway to the centerline of Myrtle Avenue; thence north-
erly along the centerline of Myrtle Avenue to the center-
line of Swifts Highway; thence easterly along the center-
line of Swifts Highway to the centerline of U. S . Route 5
thence southwesterly along the centerline of U. S . Route
54 to the westerly extension of the centerline of John
Street; thence easterly along the westerly extension of
the centerline of John Street and the centerline of John
Street to the centerline of Monroe Street; thence north-
erly along the centerline of Monroe Street to the center-
line of Russell Avenue; thence easterly along the center-
line of Russell Avenue and the easterly extension of the
centerline of Russell Avenue to the centerline of Lafayette
Street; thence southerly to the center of Ellis Boulevard
i Tanner Bridge Road intersection; thence westerly along the
centerline of Ellis Boulevard to the centerline of South-

Southwest Boulevard to the point of beginning.

4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Tanner Bridge Road crosses the corporate limits, thence
clockwise along and with the corporate limits, as defined
in Ordinance No. 8383, to a point where the centerline
of West Edgewood Drive crosses the corporate limits;
thence easterly along the centerline of West Edgewood
Drive to the centerline of Edgewood Drive, thence south-
erly along the centerline of Edgewood Drive to -the center ,
line of Swifts Highway; thence easterly along the center-
line of Swifts Highway to the centerline of Southwest
Boulevard; thence southerly along the centerline of
Southwest Boulevard to the centerline of Ellis Boulevard;
thence easterly along the centerline of Ellis Boulevard to
the centerline of Tanner Bridge Road; thence southerly
along the centerline of Tanner Bridge Road to the point
of beginning.
E. FIFTH Ward
1) lst Precinct - The first precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Dunklin Street is intersected by the centerline of Madiso
Street; thence southerly along the centerline of Madison

thence southerly along the centerline Tanner Bridge Road
to the corporate city limits line; thence easterly along
the corporate city limits line to the Range line between
Range 11 and Range 12; thence northerly along the range
line to the centerline of Chestnut Street ; thence north-
erly along the centerline of Chestnut Street to the
centerline of Dunklin Street ; thence westerly along the
centerline of Dunklin Street to the point of beginning.
2) 2nd Precinct - The second precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Dunklin Street is intersected by the centerline of
Chestnut Street; thence southerly along the centerline
-- of Chestnut Street to the centerline of Fairmount
Boulevard; thence easterly along the centerline of
Fairmount Boulevard and the centerline of Hillcrest to
the centerline of Moreau Drive; thence northerly along
the centerline of Moreau Drive to the centerline of
Atchison Street; thence easterly along the centerline of
Atchison. Street and Bald Hill Road to the corporate city
limits line; thence along the corporate city limits line,
as defined in Ordinance No. 8383 by the shortest route
to the east line of the northwest quarter of Section 21,
Township 44, Range 11, on the southerly right-of-way line
of U. S . Route 50 (Mo. Project F-1,(12) ) ; thence northerly
along said quarter section line of Section 21 to the
centerline of U. S . Route No. 50; thence westerly along
the centerline of U. S . Route No. 50 to the centerline of
Clark Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of
Clark Avenue to the centerline of East Dunklin Street;
thence westerly along the centerline of East Dunklin Stre t
to the point of beginning.
3) 3rd Precinct - The third precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
I Chestnut Street is intersected by the centerline of
Fairmount Boulevard; thence southerly along the center-
line of Chestnut Street to the centerline of Leslie
Boulevard; thence easterly along the centerline of Leslie
Boulevard to the centerline of Moreau Drive; thence
southerly along -the centerline of Moreau Drive to the
westerly extension of the centerline of the outlot alley
separating outlots 105 and 106 in said city; thence
easterly along said extension and the centerline of said
alley and the easterly extension of said alley to the
city limits line; thence along the city limits line by
the shortest route to the centerline of Bald Hill Road;
thence westerly along the centerline of Bald Hill Road
and the centerline of Atchison Street to the centerline
of Moreau Drive; thence southerly along the centerline
of Moreau Drive to the centerline of Hillcrest; thence
westerly along the centerline of Hillcrest and the center-
line of Fairmount Boulevard to the point of beginning.
4) 4th Precinct - The fourth precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point where the centerline of
Chestnut Street is intersected by the centerline of
Leslie Boulevard; thence easterly along the centerline
of Leslie Boulevard to the centerline of Moreau Drive;
thence southerly along the centerline of Moreau Drive to
the westerly extension of the centerline of the outlot
alley separating outlots 105 and 106 of said city; thence
easterly along said extension and the centerline of said
outlot alley, and the easterly extension of said alley,
to the city limits line; thence along the city limits
in a clockwise direction as defined in Ordinance No. 8383
to its intersection with the Range line dividing Ranges

11 and 12; thence northerly along the Range line to the
centerline of Chestnut Street; thence northerly along the
centerline of Chestnut Street to the point of beginning.
5) 5th Precinct - The fifth precinct shall be bounded as
follows : Beginning at a point on the easterly line of
Section 30, Township 44, Range 11, that is 660 feet,
more or less, southerly of the northern line of said
Section 30; thence northerly along the easterly line
of Sections 30 and 19 to the northeast corner of
Fractional Section 19, Township 44, Range 11; thence
westerly along the northerly line of Fractional Section
19 and the Outlot lines to the Range line dividing Ranges
11 and 12; thence southerly along the Range line to the
corporate city limits line; thence along the corporate
city limits line, by the shortest route, to a point in
the center of the Moreau River that is 660 feet southerly
of the northerly line of Section 29, Township 44, Range
11; thence westerly and parallel to the northerly line of
Section 29 to the point of beginning.
Section 2 . Repeal Clause. Ordinance No. 8118 be, and the
same is hereby, repealed.
Section 3 . Effective Date . This ordinance shall take effect
from and after its passage and approval.
