ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 8390 OF THE CITY, PRESCRIBING THE NUMBER OF
PERSONNEL IN THE CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND ENACTING A NEW
ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SAME SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Police Department Personnel. The Police
Department of the City shall consist of the following:
Chief - - - - - - - 1
Assistant Chief - - 1
Captains- - - - - - 3
Lieutenants - - - - 2 (1 to be Detective Lieutenant)
Sergeants - - - - - 6
Corporals - - - - - 3 (1 to be Policewoman)
Patrolmen - - - - - 43 (2 to be Policewomen)
Janitor - - - - - - 1
Radio Dispatchers - 4
Section 2 . Three (3) patrolmen shall be employed pursuant
to the Traffic Safety Program of the Missouri Division of
Highway Safety and one (1) patrolman shall be employed pursuant
to the Emergency Employment Act. The authorization for these
patrolmen shall terminate upon the conclusion of or withdrawal
r of monetary aid to the City of Jefferson under these programs.
Section 3. Re ea 3. Clause. Ordinance Number 8390 of the
City of Jefferson, Missouri, relating to the number of personnel
in the City Police Department, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in full force from and after the date of its
passage and approval.
