AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF-THE CITY AND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY
TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AN AMENDMENT TO A LEASE ON
CERTAIN PROPERTY AT THE JEFFERSON CITY MEMORIAL AIRPORT LEASED TO
JAMES H. DAWSON AND BILLIE JOAN DAWSON, HIS WIFE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A certain lease authorized by Ordinance No.
$3 3 passed by the City Council of the City of Jefferson on
December L,,� -. r 1970 is hereby amended and the Mayor and the
City Clerk of the City of Jefferson, Missouri' are hereby authorized
and directed for and in the name of the City, to execute an amend-
ment to a. lease with James H. Dawson and Billie Joan Dawson, his
wife, relating to certain described property at the City of
Jefferson Memorial Airport dated the 17th day of December, 1970.
Section 2 , Said amendment to said lease shall read in words
and figures as follows:
AMENDMENT TO NET GROUND LEASE
The Net Ground Lease entered into on December 17, 1970, between
Jefferson City, Missouri, a municipal corporation, and James H.
Dawson and Billie Joan Dawson, his wife, is hereby amended as follows :
WHEREAS, the Tenant has constructed without the permission or
consent of the Airport Commission or the City of Jefferson an addition
to the west side of the hangar constructed by Tenant at the Jefferson
City Memorial Airport 50 feet in length and 15 feet in width and has
agreed with the Airport Commission of Jefferson City to pay additional
square
rent computed at 150 per square foot on the 750 feet of space occupied
by said addition totaling additional rent of $112.50 annually, and
WHEREAS, the Tenant has agreed with the City and the Airport
Commission that upon the request of the Airport Commission that
Tenant will pave a 10 foot wide strip on the total length of the
taxiway on the west side of Tenant's hangar which is necessary to
have a 75 foot clearance between Tenant ' s building and buildings
that may be constructed to the west of said taxiway.
NOW THEREFORE,
1. Paragraph 1 of the Net Ground Lease entered into between the
parties December 17, 1970, is amended by inserting the numbers 22,350
square feet in lieu of 21,600 square feet occupied by Tenant' s hangar,
and paragraph 4 of said Net Ground Lease is amended by changing the
annual rent to be paid to the City by the Tenant effective April 1,
1972, from $3,699.00 to $3,811.50, and Tenant agrees upon request of
the Airport Commission and the City to pay the costs of paving a 10
foot wide strip on the west side of the taxiway on the west side of
Tenant 's building for the full length of the existing taxiway to provide
a 75 foot clearance between Tenant ' s hangar and addition thereto and
any buildings or hangars constructed on the west side of the taxiway.
2 . It is agreed between the parties that all provisions of
the Net Ground Lease entered into between the parties on December
17, 1970, shall remain in full force and effect with the exception
of the changes hereinbefore set forth.
