AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE Ll?;VY OF CI'T'Y TAXES AND
p� ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXA'T'ION FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
�;MISSOURI, FOR THE YEAR, 1972.
'BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate on all
Real Estate and Personal Property within the limits of the City of Jefferson,
` Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution or the laws of the State
of Missouri, as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson, Missou 7i,
jifor the year 1972, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers statements,
'I made as provided by law:
f'FIRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of Jefferson
Missouri, for the fiscal year, the sum of ,�� , AS cents on the one hundred
dollar valuation.

l SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding bonds of the !
City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the purpose of creating a sinking fund to `
retire the outstanding bonds of theCity of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of
38 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
THIRD - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Free Public Librar
i to the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of . 40 cents on the one
hundred dollar valuation.

FOURTH - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining Free Public Parks
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of . 20 cents on the one
{hundred dollar valuation.

1!FIFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen's Retirement System for
Firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of ,io ,_@.g cents on th�
lone hundred dollar valuation.
Oak lSECTION 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in the
appropriate columns opposite each item of taxable property on the assessment
lbooks as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jeffers n Missouri, and
corrected by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid
,Iby each person as provided by Section One of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
