ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 8320 RELATING TO THE COLLECTION, REMOVAL, AND
DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE, TRASH, AND RUBBISH, AND OTHER RELATED
MATTERS, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION RELATING TO THE SAME.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Ordinance No. 8320 by adding a new
section to be numbered 20. 735 and to read as follows :
No person shall rummage through, scavenge,
steal , or otherwise take possession of,
remove or carry away any refuse, discarded
material or useful item whether or not it has
any calcuable value , belonging to another,
and having been deposited upon any curb,
sidewalk, parkway, or other place for
collection and removal by a duly licensed
trash or garbage hauler or by a duly
authorized agency of the City of Jefferson;
provided, however, nothing herein shall
prohibit any person from taking with the
permission of the owner thereof any such
material or item so deposited.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
