AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING FOR PUBLIC USE CERTAIN RIGHTS OF WAY FOR PUBLIC
l STREETS AND ALLEYS, AND RESERVING TO THE CITY WHERE NECESSARY
EASEMEN'T'S FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF SEWERS AND SEWER
FACILITIES AND THE FACILITIES OF PUBLIC UTILITIES IN THE CITY,
AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CLERIC OF THE CITY
TO EXECUTE ANY INSTRUMENT REQUIRED TO CONFIRM IN THE ABUTTING
PROPERTY OWNERS THEIR REVERSIONARY RIGHTS IN THE VACATED AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Subject to the provisions of Section 2 hereof,
the City Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , hereby
declares that it is necessary and in the public interest that
the following lands be discontinued for public use as streets
and alleys within the city :
Part of Buehrle Subdivision, Section 2 in the City
of Jefferson , County of Cole , Missouri , more parti-
cularly described as follows :
(A) Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot
!I No. 70 ; thence N48036130"E , 150. 00 feet ; thence
S36013130"E , 60 . 0 feet to the most northerly
corner of Lot No. 71 ; thence southwesterly
150 . 00 feet to the most westerly corner of
Lot No. 71 ; thence northerly along the east
line of Satinwood Drive 60 . 0 feet to the most
southerly corner of Lot No. 70 and the point
of beginning.
(B) ALSO, beginning at the southeast corner of
Lot No. 78 ; thence S870341W, 501 . 04 feet ;
thence S62035130"E, 60. 28 feet ; thence
N870341E, 454. 97 feet ; thence northerly
along the westerly line of Satinwood Drive
to the southeast corner of Lot No. 78 and
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2 . The City of Jefferson, Missouri does hereby
reserve the following easement in the land described in Section
1 (B) above:
an easement over the southerly ten (10) feet
of the vacated area.
SECTION 3. The statutory right of reversion in -i: :e owners
of the abutting property in said vacated rights of way , as is
provided by the laws of Missouri , is hereby fully confirmed,

subject to the easements reserved in Section 2 hereinabove , and j
the Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and

directed to execute any instrument , for and in behalf of the

City, that may be required to confirm in the abutting property
owners their reversionary rights in the vacated areas .
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval .
