AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR 'I11U IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF
li SOUTIIWEST BOULEVARD IN THE CI'T'Y OF JIFFERSON , MISSOURI .

! BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 . Whereas , it was heretofore found and
declared by the City Council , by its resolution , passed and
approved May 7 , 1973 , necessary to improve Southwest Boulevard
on the west side from the north line of Lot 112 of Westwood
Subdivision Part 3 extending to a point 100 feet north of the
south line of Lot 1 of Swifts and Thompson Subdivision , and
on the east side from a point 825 feet south of the east-west
quarter section line of Section 12 , Township 44 , Range 12 ex-
tending to the south line of Section 12 , Township 44 , Range 12 ,
in the City of Jefferson , Missouri , and it appearing to the
City Council that said resolution has been duly published
according to the law for seven (7) consecutive insertions ,
in the Post Tribune , a daily newspaper , printed and published
in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , and a majority of the
resident owners of property along said section of Southwest
Boulevard liable for part of the costs of said improvement, and
who own a majority of the front feet on Southwest Boulevard
intended to be improved , have not filed with the City Clerk a
protest against said contemplated improvement .
SECTION 2 . That the said road of Southwest Boulevard
as stated in Section 1 of this Ordinance, will be improved
in accordance with the plans and specifications submitted by the
Director of Public Works and filed in the office of the City
Clerk, and that part of the cost of the work aforesaid shall
be charged and levied as a special assessment against the real
Ask estate abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement
in an amount of $5. 00 per front foot , and special tax bills
shall be issued therefore, as provided in Sections 826 , 827 ,
828 , 829 and 767 of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of
the City of Jefferson, Missouri , 1956 , and of the Revised
Statutes of the State of Missouri , 1959 , and amendments thereto.
The balance of the cost is to be paid by the City.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works is hereby in-
structed to advertise for bids for this improvement.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and ap r.oval .
