NAUSET HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE - -

Remote Meeting Via Nauset School District Zoom
This meeting took place remotely pursuant to the law signed by Governor Baker on June 16,2021 —
An Act Extending Certain COVID-19 Measures Adopted During the State of Emergency,
which includes an extension, until March 31,2023,of the remote meeting provisions of his March 12,2020
Executive Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law.

Chair Levasseur called the public section of the meeting to order at 6:26 pm,declared a quorum present and
read the meeting participation and recording statements.

PRIORITY BUSINESS
Flansburgh updates
Mr. Cruz reported that the modular construction work has been completed; the plumbing work was
done over April vacation. He has now received the Occupancy Certificate. They will begin the close
out of the work phases of the modular construction with J &J. The closeout will require window
screens be replaced; J &J has credited the District for that cost. There was also a manhole cover that
did not meet electrical standards that Brait fixed on behalf of J &J,that cost will be deducted from J
&J's final payment.
Present Change Order
Mr. Cruz presented Change Order#4 to close out J &J's contract. That cost of the change order is
$42,141.36 and he recommends approval of it. (Mr. Cruz shared a screen of the details of the change
order costs.) This is the final change order for J &J.
MOTION: Chair Levasseur moved to accept Chane Order#4 in the amount of$42,141.36.
Mr.Easley seconded the motion and via roll all members voted in favor.
Mr. Cruz said the final pay application is to pay J&J $52,049.86 and that is made up of change
order#4 and the balance of retainage that was held on the project until the certificate of occupancy
was received. He recommends approval to close out the J &J contract.

Mr. Cruz updated the Brait work that is being done. The new E Building has its foundation in and
walls up. The gym is completely demolished and preconstruction meetings are coming up.
Change order#3 is a credit of$41,680.45 and is made up of 8 PCO's. Mr. Cruz detailed the
information on the shared screen PLO's resulting in a credit of$41,680.45. He recommends this
change order to be approved.
Chair Levasseur noted that the Change Order Group had reviewed Change Order#3 and
recommends its approval.
MOTION: Chair Levasseur made a motion to approve the credit in Chan a Order#3. Mr.
Easley seconded the motion and via roll call vote, all members voted in favor.
Mr. Cruz noted he has the Pay Application from Brait for 7.6%of the work that has been done.
However, if you go on-site, it is clearly more work than being invoiced for. The amount of the Pay
Application for Brait Builders in the warrant is$4,673,340.73.
CHA Updates
Ms. Sawyer reported the work continues as the foundation and compaction rebar has been set.
Building F excavation for the footings has been done. Ms. Sawyer shared pictures of the work in
progress.
Also shared on screen was a Project Budget Update and a Construction Timeline. The construction
timeline is holding steady. Brait has a four-week look ahead to deal with anything that needs to be
addressed in advance.

MOTION: It was moved by Mr.Nowack, seconded bv_ Mr. Fitzgibbons and voted
unanimously via roll call vote to approve the payment of the following bills from Warrant
A2490 dated May 10.2023:

Report from on-site staff
Mr. Faris reported that the teachers and students have adapted to modulars rather seamlessly.
Students seem to be watching the construction project, but doesn't' affect their day-to-day
schoolwork.
Mr. Capurso showed a slide presentation of pictures of the project. Cape Cod Ready Mix has been
pouring concrete and each load is tested by a quality control representative. Bob Brait is also on site
every Thursday to ensure the project continues to move along smoothly.
