Flansbumb Update: Project Schedule
Mr. Cruz explained the modulars are in the last phase of completion. The additional plumbing work will
happen over April vacation and they are working with building inspector and almost have all the work done to
get the Certificate of Occupancy.
The excavation for the foundation footings has started and some footings have been placed already.
Mr.Cruz said there haven't been any major issues except that the computerized breakers are about 50 weeks
out,so they are reworking the switch gear for the main power to the building by using some computerized
meters.
UpcominE Needs of FAI: Owner feedback exterior finishes
Mr.Cruz noted there will be an informational meeting tomorrow to review finish materials with Brait and the
construction committee. It will be informational only to understand the direction they should go in. After that,
he can formalize the plan and then the working group or the whole committee can decide on the finish. Brait is
waiting on the finish information so those products can be ordered.
Chair Levasseur would like the whole committee to look at the choices on the pallet. He will set up the
meeting on campus when that information is ready.

NRHS Campus Staff Report
The campus staff subcommittee consists of Tom Faris,Kathleen Tringale,Robert Capurso and Pat Clark.
Mr. Faris said the transition to the modulars has gone very well. The fitness center is working out well as well
as the cafeteria/library. it is a smaller space for each but is working well for the students. Parking has been a
challenge as faculty and students try to acclimate themselves to the design. Principal Clark has asked all to
arrive early and not be in a rush so there aren't any accidents and everyone is safe on the active construction
site. He added that the subcommittee is in the works of developing a focus group for cross-curricular—trying
to have as many departments represented to review the interior finishes and aesthetics of the furniture, the
fixtures and equipment that will be apart of the new school.
Ms. Tringale said it was important to try and tie the groups together so there is a theme created throughout the
school.
Mr. Capurso noted that there are weekly construction meetings, every Thursday morning,on site in the
construction trailer. The transition to the modular units has not seem to affect the students and hears feedback
of a positive learning atmosphere. He also said that Principal Clark and the two vice-principals are out in the
parking lots each morning greeting students and there is a good separation between the students and the
construction site.
Mr. Capurso said that the Steve Myers from Brait is the superintendent and is on-site each day and he is very
responsive to any requests the school staff has day or night. Also, some unexpected conditions came up as
asbestos containing materials were found. The staff at Flansburgh and Brait came up with a plan to remove the
materials at a reasonable cost.

Nauset School Building Committee April 12,2023
Chair Levasseur reported that it had been requested to try and save some of the hardwood floor in the
gymnasium along with the center medallion, but it was all anchored to the concrete below and could not be
separated and had to demolished.
He also reported that he and Director Venditti had been working with a neighbor who has lost her privacy due
to the construction and is wide open to the modular units and the lights at night. The work came to within 20'
of her property line. A type of screen fencing is being discussed to create a barrier for her. A proposed
solution should be ready for next the meeting.
Principal Clark explained posters have been put up all over campus to remind students to pay attention where
they are walking and move slow and safe because the campus is an active construction side.
Update/Report Project Insurance
Director Venditti reported that she continues to work with the insurance carrier and hopes to be able to give an
update at next month's ineeting.
