I �i AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING A SPECIAL TAX AGAINST EACH LOT OR PIECE OF GROUND LYING BETWEEN AND SITUATE WITHIN THE BOUNDS OF SEWER DISTRICT NO. 123 IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, j IMISSOURI , IN THE NAME OF THE`OWNER- OR OWNERS THEREOF FOR CONSTRUCTING AND COMPLETING SEWERS THEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: ! SECTION 1 . It appearing from the written report of the Director of Public Works ' g the officer in charge of the work of i. construction and completing sewers in Sewer District No'. 123 1' in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , heretofore submitted by i I� said officer to the City Council and approved and filed by it on (� the ,> day of 1-9-73 , at a regular meeting of the City Council held on this date, that the total cost of construction and completing of said sewer as constructed amounts i to the sum of :`$'�" �'0'l,:l'6• , and it further appearing that said l� report of said officer dial apportion said costs against the several lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District, exclusive of streets in proportion to the area of the whole of I j+ said Sewer District exclusive of the public highways , and it Ij further appearing that the total number of square feet contained f in the aggregate number of lots and pieces of ground situated ly I� in the said Sewer District, exclusive of the public highways AML therein, amounts to ISO's 891' square feet. And .it further appearing from the said report that on proper apportionment f of said costs such lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District so situated each square foot of round contained in District, , ground said lots or pieces of ground in said Sewer District is charge- ( able with the sum of $0. 06296 per square foot. Now, therefor, for the purpose of paying for the work of construction and completion of sewers in said Sewer District together with all necessary laterals, inlets, catch basins , i manholes, and other necessary appurtenances thereto appertaining, li there is hereby levied and assessed against the several and hereinafter described lots or pieces of ground within the bounds of said Sewer District, situated in the name' of the respective name of the owner or owners of said lots or pieces of ground, le mom 1. for a special tax at the rate of $0 . 06296 , per square �{ foot for each and every square foot of ground so situated as 1 �; aforesaid. SECTION 2 . Each of the lots or pieces of ground so mentioned and referred to in Section 1 of this Ordinance r against which a special tax bill is specified in Section 1 of this Ordinance is levied and assessed and the same is hereby levied and assessed and the description of said lots or pieces of ground and the name of the owner or owners thereof in which the tax is levied and assessed and the cost per square foot and the amount assessed each lot or piece of ground in said Sewer District, situated in the name of the owner or owners thereof, the number of square .feet owned by each property holder in the lots or pieces of ground owned by each owner in said Sewer District is as follows : L. Etheleen Wheeler and T. Ray Wheeler and Bernice C. Wheeler and Hugh R. Wheeler, as Joint Tenants and not as 'Tenants in Common, and to the Survivor thereof, owners of property described as follows: Part of the Northeast fractional quarter of Section 16, 'Township 44 , Range 11 , Cole County, Missouri , more particularly described as follows : Beginning at a point on the south line of said quarter section, which is on the north line of the county road and 24 . 82 chains west of the southeast corner of said quarter; thence north parallel with the east line of said quarter section, 300 feet; thence east parallel with the south line of said quarter section, 100 feet; thence south parallel with the east line of said fractional quarter section, 300 feet, to the north line of the St. Louis Road; thence west along the north line of said road, 100 feet, to the point of beginning. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to proceed at once to make out special tax bills under the seal of the City of Jefferson, Missouri , of the aforesaid amounts against said lots or pieces of land in the aforesaid Sewer District situated, mentioned and described in the heretofore mentioned sections of this Ordinance in the name of the owner or owners thereof, which said special and certified tax bills shall be signed by the Mayor s and attested and recorded by the City Clerk and delivered to the f Sterling Excavating and Erection 'Com ap ny , the Contractor of the work of construction of the aforesaid sewers as provided and required by the Charter of the City of Jefferson and the Ordinances authorizing and ordering the construction of sewers in said Sewer District heretofore passed and approved by the 1 Council . i SECTION 4 .
