AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES WITH RICHARD SANDERSON AND
JAMES M. HIDLEBAUGH, DBA HIDLE'S BUILDING CLEANERS,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a contract with Richard Sanderson
AUL
and James M. Hidlebaugh, DBA Hidle' s Building Cleaners, for
janitorial services.
SECTION 2. Said contract shall read in words and figures as
follows :

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES
This contract, made and entered into this y day of
1974, by and between the City of Jefferson, Missouri, a municipal
corporation of the County of Cole, State of Missouri, hereinafter
known as "City" , and Richard Sanderson and James M. Hidlebaugh,
DBA Hidle' s Building'CLeaners, a partnership, Route Two, Jefferson
City, Missouri, hereinafter known as "Contractor. "
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain real estate located
in the City of Jefferson, and is in need of janitorial services,
and
WHEREAS, the Contractor is in the business of providing jani-
torial services, and is desirous of providing said services to the
City.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the amounts set forth below
by the City to the Contractor, the Contractor hereby contracts ,
covenants, and agrees to perform the following services for the
following compensation, at the following locations:
1. City Health Department, 913 East Miller Street, Jefferson
City, Missouri: Contractor to furnish all labor, material, supplies,
and equipment for performing in a good workman-like manner custo-
dial maintenance service, consisting of a once-weekly vacuuming of
all carpets, waxing and wet-mopping entrance and stairs, cleaning,
sanitizing, and restocking bathroom facilities, damp-mopping rest-
room and kitchen floors, and bi-annual shampooing of all carpets.
Contractor shall furnish all toilet paper, hand soap, and paper
towels. Florescent tubes and incandescent lamps shall. be furnished
by the City. Monthly consideration: $91. 00
2. Public Works Department, 911 East Miller Street, Jefferson
City, Missouri: Contractor to furnish all labor, material, supplies,
and equipment for performing in a good workman-like manner custo-
dial maintenance service consisting of once-weekly vacuuming of all
carpets, waxing and wet-mopping entrance and stairs, cleaning, sani-
tizing, and restocking bathroom facilities, damp-mopping restroom
and kitchen floors, and bi-annual shampooing of all carpets , sealing
of vinyl tiles, waxing, spraying, and buffing as needed. Contractor
shall furnish all toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
Florescent tubes and incandescent lamps shall be furnished by
the City. Monthly consideration: $ 181.05
3. City Hall Building, 209 East High Street, Jefferson City,
Missouri, including second and third floors, with first floor en-
trance hall and elevator: Contractor to furnish all labor, material,
supplies, and equipment for performingin a good workman-like manner
custodial maintenance service, consisting of daily, Monday-through-
Friday cleaning of entrance glass door, vacuum all carpet areas ,
main floor and elevator entrance mats, dustmop tile floors , pick up
trash, damp-wipe ash trays , empty trashbaskets, clean, sanitize
and restock restroom facilities, clean water fountains, damp-mop
restroom and coffee-break room, dust surfaces of desks, files and
furniture. Once each week, dust all window-sills, blinds, ledges,
chairs, chat and table rounds, picture frames , coat racks, statue,
phones, phone jacks , electrical boxes, etc. , spray-buff all tile
floors. As needed, wax tile floors , wax furniture and counters,
clean glass-covered desks with window cleaner. Bi-annua.IV sham-
poo carpets and vacuum all drapes. Contractor shall furnish all
toilet paper, lYand soup; and paper towels. Florescent tubes and
incandescent lamps shall be furnished by the City. Monthly
consideration: $369.00
This contract shall continue for a period of one year, on a
month-to-month basis and may be terminated at any time by either
party by giving the other party a third-day written notice.
