ORDINANCE NO. 79
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDINANC
NO. 8177, THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION RELATING TO THE RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF VEHICLES AT MYRTLE STREET AND THE WASHINGTON PARK ROAD.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Section 6 .160, Right-of- way; specific
intersections; by adding two new sections numbered 16 and 17,
to read as follows:
(16) "A person driving a vehicle in a northwesterly
driection on the Washington Park Road, shall yield
the right-of-way to any vehicle on Myrtle Street, if
failure to do so would constitute..an.. immediate hazard. "
(17) "A person driving a vehicle in a southerly
direction on Myrtle Street and turning left on
to the Washington Park Road, shall yield the Right-
of-way to vehicles proceeding in a north westerly
direction on the Washington Park Road and to vehicles
proceeding southeasterly on Washington Park Road
having turned right thereon from Myrtle Street, if
failure to do so would constitute an immediate
hazard. "
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
.effect from and after its passage and approval.
