HomeMy Public PortalAbout2003-03 Community Center Construction Project ManagerRESOLUTION NO. 2003-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; APPROVING A RECOMMENDATION FROM A CITIZENS COMMITTEE R RELATING TO THE SELECTION OF A CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER (OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE) TO ASSIST THE VILLAGE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER; DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AN AGREEMENT WITH SKYLINE MANAGEMENT GROUP, INC.; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village published a Request for Qualifications from consultants who are interested in providing Construction Program Manager (Owner's Representative) services related to the construction of the Community Center; and WHEREAS, the Village Council appointed Edward Easton, Barry Goldmeier, and Raul Llorente to a citizen's committee to evaluate responses to the Request for Qualifications and provide the Village Council with a recommendation as to the most qualified firm; and WHEREAS, A Square Group Inc. and Skyline Management Group Inc. submitted their qualifications for consideration by the Village; and WHEREAS, the citizen's committee met on January 9, 2003 for purposes of interviewing each of the aforementioned firms and to provide a recommendation to the Village Council. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council selects Skyline Management Group Inc. as the Construction Program Manager (Owner's Representative) for the Community Center. Section 2. That the Village Manager is directed to negotiate an Agreement with Skyline Management Group Inc. for consideration by the Village Council. Section 3. That the Village Manager and Village Attorney are hereby directed to implement this Resolution. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
