AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 85309 BY REPEALING SECTION ONE RELATING TO
THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE.
II BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repeal Section 1 . 0 of Ordinance No. 8530,
and substitute the following:
There is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City
of Jefferson, Missouri, for the practical safe guarding of
persons and of buildings and their contents from hazards
arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power,
radio, signalling and for other purposes the 1975 Edition of
the National Electrical Code (see attached booklet) . This
code covers the electric conductors and equipment installed
within or on public and private buildings and other premises ,
including yards , carnival and parking lots, and industrial
substations ; also the conductors that connect the installa-
tions to a supply of electricity, and other outside conductors
adjacent to the premises ; also mobile homes and recreational
vehicles . This ordinance shall be known as the electrical
�I code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, may be cited, and
} will be referred to in this ordinance as the electrical code .
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval .
