AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE ROADWAYS OF
'i ST. MARYS BOULEVARD (FROM HEISINGER ROAD TO THE DEAD END EAST)
AND HEISINGER ROAD ( FROM MISSOURI BOULEVARD TO ST. MARYS
BOULEVARD) IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , BY CURBING AND
GUTTERING WITH POIfii'LAND CEMENT CONCRETE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AS
j FOLLOWS :
i� SECTION 1 . Whereas , it was heretofore found and declared
by the City Council , by its resolution, passed and approved on
February 21 , 1977 , necessary to improve the roadways of St.
Marys Boulevard (from Heisinger Road to the dead end east) and
Heisinger Road (from Missouri Boulevard to St . Marys Boulevard)
f in the City of Jefferson, Missouri , by curbing and guttering
with Portland cement concrete , and it appearing to the City

Council that said resolution has been duly published according
to the law for seven (7) consecutive insertions , in the Post
Tribune , a daily newspaper printed and published in the City
of Jefferson, Missouri , and a majority of the -resident owners
of property along said sections of St. Marys Boulevard (from
Heisinger Road to the dead end east) and Heisinger Road (from
Missouri Boulevard to St . Marys Boulevard) liable for the
costs of said improvement , and who own a majority of the front
feet on said St. Marys Boulevard (from Heisinger Road to the
dead end east) and Heisinger Road (from Missouri Boulevard to
St. Marys Boulevard) intended to be improved, have not filed
with the City Clerk a protest against said contemplated im-
provement.
, SECTION 2 . That the said roads of St. Marys Boulevard (from
Heisinger Road to the dead end east) and Heisinger Road (from
Missouri Boulevard to St. Marys Boulevard) , in accordance with
the plans and specifications submitted by the Director of
Public Works and filed in the office of the City Clerk , and
that the total cost of the work aforesaid shall be charged
and levied as a special assessment against the real estate
abutting and fronting on said contemplated improvement , and
special tax bills shall be issued therefore , as provided in
the City Charter, and in Soctions 826 , 827 , 828 , 829 and767
of Chapter 10 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of
i Jefferson Missouri 1956 and of the Revised Statutes of the
State of Missouri , 1959 , and amendments thereto.
SECTION 3 . The Director of Public Works is hereby instructed
• to advertise for bids for this improvement .

SECTION 4 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval ,
