ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8413,
RELATING TO THE COMMISSION ON ENVIROMENTAL QUALITY FOR THE CITY
OF JEFFERSON, BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF FREEHOLDER MEMBERS THEREON.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Ordinance No . 8413 , relating to the
Commission on Environmental Quality, by deleting Section 2 and
inserting in lieu thereof:
"Section 2. Membership of Commission. The Commission
on Environmental Quality shall consist of eleven (11) mem-
bers as follows:
A. Two members of the City Council
B. A member of the City Park Board chosen by
the said Board.
C. A member of the City Planning and Zoning
Commission chosen by the said Commission.
D. Seven resident freeholders of the City of
Jefferson City, Missouri. "
And further amend Ordinance No . 8413 by striking the words "five
resident freeholder members" where those words appear in Section
3 of said -Ordinance and inserting in lieu thereof the words "seven
resident freeholder members" .
Section 2. This Ordinance shall not affect the term of
any present member of the Commission on Environmental Quality. When
this Ordinance becomes effective, the Mayor shall , with the approval
and consent of a majority of the members of the City Council , appoint
the two additional resident freeholder members of the Commission
for terms of five years each, and such members so appointed shall
serve in the same manner as other resident freeholder members of the
Commission.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and approval .
