ORDINANCE NO.
N ORDINANCE TO VACATE A PART OF THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY OF
VICCARTY STREET, IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON; AND AUTHORIZING AND
IRECTING THE MAYOR ON BEHALF OF THE CITY TO MAKE, EXECUTE
ND DELIVER TO THE PRESENT ADJOINING OWNERS ALL PROPER AND
UFFICIENT WRITINGS, DEEDS OR INSTRUMENTS TO EFFECTUATE THE
ERMS AND PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and expedient to vacate and discontinu ;
Part of Outlot No. 61, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, more
particularly described as follows:
From a point on the easterly line of Benton Street, which said point
is 5 feet easterly from the westerly line of said Outlot and 418. 00
feet southerly from the northerly line of said Outlot and also the
intersection of the east line of Benton Street and the north line
of Old Missouri State Highway 50 (now E. McCarty Street); thence
easterly along the north line of said E. McCarty Street, 26. 74 feet
to the point of beginning for this description, thence continuing
along the north line of said E. McCarty Street, 53. 51 feet; thence
deflecting 910 33' 05" right, 2. 35 feet, thence deflecting 900 right,
53. 50 feet; thence deflecting 900, 0. 90 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The aforesaid part of McCarty Street, in the City of
efferson is hereby forever vacated and discontinued as a public thoroughfare
nd the right of reversion of such portion of said street in the adjoining and
buttin owner and owners as is provided by the Statutes of the State of Missouri
is hereby fully confirmed, ratified and approved. The Mayor of this City is
hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver all proper and sufficient
writings, deeds or instruments for, on behalf of, and in the name of the City
o fully and completely guarantee to the adjacent and abutting property owner
r owners his or their legal rights in connection with the above vacation of the
foresaid portion of the aforesaid street.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with,
ontrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby
epealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from an
