!AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF CITY TAXES AND ESTAB-
ISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CI'T'Y OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
OR THE YEAR 1977.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI. AS FOLLOWS: I

SECTION 1. There is hereby levied and assessed the following rate of all Real
state and Personal Property within the limits of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution or the laws of the State
f Missouri, as shown by the assessment book of the City of Jefferson,
issouri, for the year 1977, and on all Merchants and Manufacturers state-
inents, made as provided by law:
FIRST - For the purpose of paying all current expenses of the City of
efferson, Missouri, for the fiscal year, the sum of . 60 cents on the
ne hundred dollar valuation.
SECOND - For the purpose of paying interest on the outstanding bond
RP f the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and for the purpose of creating a sinking
and to retire the outstanding bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the
13um of . 20 cents on the one hundred dollar valuation.
THIRD - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Free
ublic Library in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of . 20 _ cents
n the one hundred dollar valuation.
FOURTH - For the purpose of establishing and maintaining Free
P ublic Parks in the City of Jefferson, Missouri., the sum of . 20 cents on
e hundred dollar valuation.
FIFTH - For the purpose of creating a Firemen's Retirement System
t or the Firemen in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, the sum of . 10 cents
the one hundred dollar valuation.
ECTION 2. It shall be the dute of the City Clerk to cause to be extended in the
ppropriate columns opposite each item of taxable property on the assessment
oaks as returned by the Assessor of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, and
orrected by the County Board of Equalization, the amount of taxes to be paid
y each person as provided by Section One of this Ordinance.
ECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
s passage and approval.
