AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , TO PURCHASE
FORTY-TWO (42) ACRES IN CALLAWAY COUNTY, MISSOURI , AND TO EXCHANGE
THAT PARCEL FOR A LIKE TRACT OF FORTY-TWO (42) ACRES ADJOINING
THE JEFFERSON CITY MEMORIAL AIRPORT; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON TO
MAKE, EXECUTE AND DELIVER ALL PROPER AND SUFFICIENT WRITINGS ,
DEEDS OR INSTRUMENTS TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF
( THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council of
the City of Jefferson deems it necessary and expedient to purchase
the following described tract containing forty-two (42) acres,
located in Callaway County, Missouri, now owned by Fred Rost,
Sr. , and Anna Marie Rost, et al , referred to herein as Tract A,
and more particulary described as follows :
Part of Section 23, Township 44 N, Range 11 W, in the County
of Callaway, Missouri, and being more particularly described
as follows:
From the northwest corn;:r of said Section 23; thence S 84°
57 ' 17" E, along the Section Line, 1516. 18 feet to the point
of beginning for this description; thence continuing S 840
57 ' 17" E, along the Section Line, ,1185.32 feet to the
northwest corner of the East Half of said Section 23 ; thence
S 840 55 ' 07" E, along the Section Line, 1913. 57 feet;
thence S 50 04 ' 53" W, 949 . 85 fget; thence N 770 47 ' 59" W,
1280. 41 feet; thence N 610 32 ' 21" W, 1991. 90 feet to the
point of beginning. Containing in all, 42. 0 acres.
Section 2. The purchase price to be paid for such property
is Eighty-Four Thousand ($84 ,000 .00) Dollars.
Section 3. It is further declared by the City Council of
he City of Jefferson that it is necessary and expedient to
transfer said Tract A above described to Lincoln University and
to receive therefor forty-two (42) acres located in Callaway
� ounty, Missouri, and adjoining the Jefferson City Memorial
irport now owned by the Lincoln University, referred to herein
as Tract B, and more particularly described as .follows :
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14 , Township 44 N,
Range 11 W, in the County of Callaway, Missouri, and being
more particulary described as follows:

54 ' 17" E, along the Section Line, 1357 .42 feet to the point
of beginning for this description; thence continuing N 40
54' 17" E, along the Section Line, 1156.30 feet; thence S
541D 57 ' 30" E, 2119. 79 feet; thence S 350 02 ' 30" W, 1000.0
feet; thence N 540 57 ' 30" W, 1539.25 feet to the point of
beginning. Containing in all, 42. 0 acres.
Said Tracts A and 8 above described being set forth on the Survey
which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit C.
Section 4 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
