INTRODUCED BY
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK OF THE CITY TO EXECUTE AN ADENDUM
TO THE CONTRACT WITH CEDAR CITY FOR THE TREATMENT OF SEWAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized
and directed for and in the name of the City to execute an Adendum to
the Contract with Cedar City, Missouri, for the treatment of sewage.
SECTION 2. Said Adendum shall read in words and figures as follows :

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.

ADENDUM TO
_CONTRACT FOR TREATMENT OF SEWAGE
DATED FEBRUARY 10 , 1977
THIS ADENDUM t a Contract is made and entered into this,
_g day of , 1977, by and between the City of
Jefferson, a munici al corporation of the County of Cole, in the
State of Missouri, and Cedar City, a municipal corporation in the
County of Callaway, in the State of Missouri .
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the Cities entered into a Contract dated February
10, 1977, regarding the utilization of the sewage treatment system
belonging to the City of Jefferson. by Cedar City; and
WHEREAS, Cedar City is in the process of building facilities
for the collection and pumping of sewage, said project being
firranced in part through the Farmers Home Administration; and
WHEREAS, the Farmers Home Administration has advised Cedar
City that the contract of February 10 , 1977, must run for a term
of thirty-five years to cover the same number of years that the
payment plan and the note signed by Cedar City runs;
NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, it is
contracted and agreed as follows :
1 . That the Contract entered into by the Cities of February
10, 1977, ' shall cover a term of thirty-five years until February
9 , 2012, unless the time is changed by agreement of the parties.
The term of the Contract, as set forth herein, shall be for the
benefit of both Cities and the protection of the Farmers Home
Administration, or its successors and assigns, with regard to
this transaction.
2. The remainder of the Contract� is reaffirmed by the parties .
