AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
TO SAID CITY OF THAT CERTAIN.UNINHABITED TERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS TO SAID CITY DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION
NO. 60 -45 ADOPTED BY SAID CITY COUNCIL ON JUNE 13,
1960, AND DESIGNATED THEREIN AS "ANNEXATION NO.
1 A, EAST TEMPLE CITY UNINHABITED."
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of Temple City, California,
did on the Petition To Annex Territory To The City of Temple City,
filed on June 13, 1960, by the First Baptist Church of Temple City
adopt Resolution No. 60 -45 entitled " A'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED AN-
NEXATION DESIGNATED THE 'ANNEXATION NO. 1 -A, EAST TEMPLE CITY UNIN-
HABITED,10 which resolution recited that the proceedings for the an-
nexation of the territory hereinafter described were initiated by the
filing of a PETITION TO ANNEX TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
by the First Baptist Church of Temple City, and which resolution fur-
ther specifically described the boundaries of the territory specifi-
cally sought to be included in said City, designated the territory by
the appropriate name "annexation No. 1 -A East Temple City Uninhabited,"
and fixed July 25, 1960, at the hour of 3:00 P. M. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall of said City as the day, hour and place when
and where the City Council would hear protests made by any person own-
ing real property in such territory proposed to be annexed.
SECTION 2. That at a regular meeting of said City Council
held on July 25, 1960, at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock P. M., in the
Council Chambers of said City Council in the Temple City City Hall,
9664 East Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, a public hearing was held;
no protests written or oral were made to the proposed "Annexation No.
1 A East Temple City Uninhabited;" that the public hearing was upon
motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried continued until
August 8, 1960, at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock P. M. in the Council
Chambers of said City Council in the Temple City City Hall, 9664 E.
Las Tunas Drive, Temple City; that on said August 3, 1960, at the
hour of 8 :00 o'clock P. M. or thereabouts, the said matter was con-
tinued until August 22, 1960, at the hour of 3 :00 o'clock P. M. in
the Council Chambers of the said City Council in the said Temple City
City Hall, 9664 East Las Tunas Drive, Temple City; that at the regu-
lar meeting of said City Council held on the 22nd day of August, 1960,
at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock P. M. in the Council Chambers of said City
Council in the Temple City City Hall, 9664 East Las Tunes Drive, .
Temple City, said City Council did find and determine that the publica-
tion of Resolution No. 60 -45 had been made at the time and manner re-
quired by Section 35311 of the Government Code of the State of Calif -
ornia; that the City Council of the City of Arcadia et a regular meet-
ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia did on July 19, 1960,
adopt Resolution No. 3285 being "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE DETACHMENT FROM
SAID CITY OF CERTAIN TERRITORY LOCATED THEREIN," which said resolution
describes that certain territory described in Temple City Resolution
No. 60 -45 and which territory is described in ANNEXATION NO. 1 A EAST
TEMPLE CITY UNINHABITED: that the County Boundary Commission of—the
County of Los Angeles approved the proposed Annexation No. 1 - A East
Temple City Uninhabited on August 10, 1960; that Section 35311 of the
Government Code was duly complied with; that the territory proposed to
be annexed as described in said Resolution 60 -45 was and is uninhabit-
ed and is contiguous to the City of Arcadia; that written protest was
not made either by private owners of one -half of the value of the pri-
vately owned territory proposed to be annexed or by public owners of
one -half of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed.
SECTION 3. That under and pursuant to and in accordance with
the provisions of an act of the legislature of the State of California
entitled "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 ", the an-

nexation to the City of Temple City of that certain uninhabited terri-
tory contiguous to said City as described in Resolution No. 60 -45,
adopted by said City Council on June 13, 1960, and therein designated
as "Annexation No. 1 - A, East Temple City Uninhabited," be and the
same is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved; that a specific des-
cription of the boundaries of said territory, as submitted to and
favorably reported upon by the Boundary Commission of Los Angeles
County, pursuant to Section 35002 of the California Government Code,
is as follows:

TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY

(Revised Description)
"Those portions of Lots 7 and 8, Tract No. 6561, per map recorded in
Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 7, Tract No. 6561, per map
recorded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35, of Maps in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence easterly along the northerly
line of said Lot 7 to a point 37.00 feet westerly of the northeast
corner of said lot; thence southeasterly in a direct line to a point
in the westerly line of Baldwin Avenue 75 feet wide (said westerly
line being the westerly line of the easterly 20 feet of Lots 7 and 8
of said tract), said point lying 17.00 feet southerly of the previous-
ly mentioned northerly line; thence southerly along said westerly
line of Baldwin Avenue to a point in the southerly line of Lot 8 of
said Tract No. 6561; thence westerly along said southerly line to the
wouthwest corner of said Lot 8; thence northerly along the westerly
lines of Lots 7 and 8 to the point of beginning."
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published once in the
Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation published and
circulated in the City of Temple City, and thirty (30) days from and
after the final passage thereof said ordinance shall take effect and
be in force.
The City Clerk shall thereupon on the taking effect of this
ordinance, make and certify under the seal of the City of Temple City
and transmit to the Secretary of State of the State of California a
copy of this ordinance giving the date of passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting thereof held this 12th day of September, 1960,
by the following called vote:
