AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING ORDI-
NANCE NO. 8177, THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, BY REPEALING SECTION 7.140 , PARAGRAPHS 1 AND 2, AND
ADOPTING A NEW SECTION 7. 140.1 PARAGRAPHS 1 AND 2 , RELATING TO
RIDING OF BICYCLES AND SKATE BOARDS ON SIDEWALKS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Repeal Section 7. 140, Paragraphs 1 and 2, and
adopting a new Section 7.140, Paragraphs 1 and 2 , relating to
( riding of bicycles and skate boards on sidewalks, to read as
follows:
Section 7.140. Riding bicycle or skate board on
sidewalks. 1. No person shally a bicycle or skate
board upon a sidewalk within a business district existing
under the city zoning code.
2. Whenever any person is riding a bicycle or skate
board upon a sidewalk, such person shall yield the right of
way to any pedestrian and shall give audible signal before
overtaking and passing such pedestrian.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
