ORDINANCE NO. 90 d-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE APPROPRIATION AND CONDEMNATION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY
FOR PUBLIC USE AS STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson and
the Director of Public Works of the City of Jefferson, having
submitted their recommendation for the Stadium Boulevard Extension
Project, and after full and complete discussion and consideration
of all alternatives , the City Council found, determined and
declared that said Stadium Boulevard Project is necessary to
facilitate and expedite vehicular traffic in the area involved,
and that public interest and safety requires immediate construc-
tion of said route, as shown on the plans approved;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Jefferson, Missouri, does hereby
declare it is necessary to appropriate and condemn, and the City
does hereby authorize and direct the appropriation and condemna-
tion of a certain tract of land, specifically described hereinafte
in Section 2 of this Ordinance, for public use as '_ia,^ street
right-of-way for use in connection with the Stadium Boulevard
Extension Project, as designated by the Housing Authority of the
City of Jefferson, the City' s agent for said acquisition,
Section 2. The description of the tract of land to be
appropriated and condemned for street right-of-way purposes is
as follows :
Lot No. 1 of an unrecorded plat of Outlot No. 86 in the !
City of Jefferson, Missouri, more particularly described
as beginning on the south boundary of Russell Street at
a point where same intersects the east line of Monroe
Street, running thence easterly along the south boundary
of Russell Street 162 feet 6 inches , thence south
parallel with the west boundary of said Outlot 40 feet;
thence westerly parallel with the south boundary of
Russell Street 162 feet 6 inches ; thence northerly
along the west boundary of said Outlot 40 feet to the
place of beginning.
Section 3. Pursuant to the terms of Section 8.8 .073, V.A.M.S.
no benefit district is established, and the damages assessed, if
any, shall be paid from City Funds .
Section 4. The City Attorney, and such assistants as he may
designate, shall prepare and file such suit or suits as may be
necessary to carry out the objectives of this Ordinance.
Section 5 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
