RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HART - FREDERICK CONSULTANTS, CITY
ENGINEER, TO PROCEED WITH THE DESIGN, OBTAINING NECESSARY
EASEMENTS AND PERMITS FOR THE 2012 INDUSTRIAL PARK WATER MAIN
EXTENSION PROJECT IN AND FOR THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IA.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin recognizes the importance of the providing local businesses with
city water and adequate fire flows;
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin has the desire to provide city water to the Tiffin Industrial Park
located on the south side of I -80;
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin is desirous for the City Engineer, Hart- Frederick Consultants
P.C. to proceed with the said Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA, that the City Engineer, Hart- Frederick Consultants P.C., is hereby ordered to
proceed with the project design for the extension of watermain to the Tiffin Industrial Park; to
prepare Plans, Specifications, Contract Documents and Engineer's Estimate of Cost; obtain
necessary easements and prepare necessary permits for the letting of said project.
On the 9th day of May, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Ball introduced Resolution No. 2012 -20, and made a motion for approval.
Motion seconded by Councilperson Weipert.
AYE: Ball, Weipert, Bartels, Upton
NAY: None
ABSENT: Ryan
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared
that the Resolution No. 2012 -20, be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing
his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 9th day of May, 2012.
