N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
ODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY AMENDING SECTION 23-98 ,
EATING TO SCHOOL ZONES, DRIVING AND PARKING MOTOR VEHICLES, BY
DDING THE FOLLOWING NEW SUBPARAGRAPHS (a) (1) and (2) , and NEW
UBPARAGRAPH (b) :
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Section 23-98 , Relating to School Zones,
Driving and Parking Motor Vehicles, by adding the following new
ubparagraphs:
(a) (1) . It shall be unlawful for any person, directly
or indirectly, to drive or park, or to cause to have driven
or parked, any motor vehicle in any public school driveway
or parking lot, which has been designated for "buses only"
or which has been marked for "no through traffic" .
(2) . No person shall park or cause to be parked
any motor vehicle in any unauthorized space or driveway of
the following public schools :
Jefferson City School Board of Education,
315 East Dunklin Street.
Jefferson City High School
609 Union Street.
Nichols Career Center
609 Union Street
Simonsen Junior High School
501 East Miller Street
Jefferson Junior High School
214 East Miller Street.
Public School Stadium
609 Union Street.
Belair School
701 Belair Drive.
Cedar Hill School
1510 Vieth Drive
East School
1229 East McCarty Street
Thorpe J. Gordon School
1101 Jackson Street
Moreau Heights School
1410 Hough Park
Southwest School
812 St. Marys Boulevard
West School
100 Dix Road.
South School
707 Linden Drive.
(b) All motor vehicles parked in any public school
parking lot or driveway shall be parked only in a marked
parking space, and shall not be parked in such space for
over twenty-four (24) consecutive hours; provided, however,
this shall not apply to employees or students of the Jefferson
City School District who have permits to park in designated
parking areas as may be issued by the said Jefferson City
School District.
® Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
