N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY AMENDING SECTION 13-34 ,
RELATING TO MUNICIPAL COURT COSTS, BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION
INTO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 13-34 .1, (A) AND (B) .
IBE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
ISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Section 13-34 , Court costs - Convicted
person to pay 2rosecution costs, by adding the following new
(Section:
Sec. 13-34 .1, (A) . A fee of Two ($2. 00) Dollars is
hereby assessed for costs in each Court proceeding filed in
the Municipal Court of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, for
violations of all Municipal Ordinances, provided, that no
such fee shall be collected for non-moving traffic violations
and in any proceeding when the proceeding or defendant has
been dismissed by the Court. This fee shall be collected by
the Clerk of the Police Court and shall be transmitted
mon-hly to the Treasurer of the City of Jefferson.
(B) . The funds collected as provided for herein
shall be used only to pay for the training of peace officers
as provided in the Missouri Minimum Police Standards Act,
House Bills 879 and 899, 79th General Assembly of Missouri,
effective August 13 , 1978, and provided, that any excess
funds not needed to pay for such training may be used to pay
for additional training for peace officers or for training
for other law enforcement officers employed or appointed by

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
