ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, GRANTING TO CITY
EMPLOYEES (EXCEPT ELECTED OFFICIALS) , A COST OF LIVING SALARY
INCREASE OF EIGHT (8%) PER CENT, AND A TWO (2%) PER CENT MERIT
INCREASE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. An increase in salary of eight (8%) per cent is
hereby granted to all full time City employees who have completed
their probationary period as of November 1, 1978.
Section 2. A merit increase of two (2%) per cent, based on
the Department 's monthly base salary, is also provided, to be
allotted at the discretion of the Department Head, by and with the
consent and approval of the City Council.
Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
as of November 1, 1978, from and after its passage and approval.
