ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
FOR 1979.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 115. 001, et seq. , RSMO 1969,
as amended, Municipal Elections are hereby established as follows:
I
(A) The General Election shall be held Tuesday, April
Wr 3, 1979.
(B) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February
6, 1979.
(C) Candidates for office shall file their Declaration
of Candidacy with the City Clerk, City Hall, 240 East High
Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101, by 5: 00 P.M. , on
Wednesday, December 20, 1978.
(D) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election
Authority by 5:00 P.M. , on Tuesday, December 26, 1978, of
the candidates for offices and election dates.
(E) The following officers shall be elected at the
General Election on Tuesday, April 3, 1979:
(1) Mayor
(2) Municipal Judge
(3) City Attorney
(4) City Assessor
(5) City Collector
(6) City Treasurer
(7) One Member of the City Council from each Ward.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
