AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY REPEALING SECTION 22-
6 (b) , CHANGING THE MINIMUM LICENSE FEE RELATING TO GROSS RECEIPTS,
METHOD OF PAYMENT, AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 22-6 (b) .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 22-6 (b) , is hereby repealed and a new
Section 22-6(b) is enacted to read as follows:
(b) Method of payment. When any person first engages
in business in the City as a merchant or. in any business
named in Section 22-5, he shall apply to the office of the
City Collector for a license and file with that office a
statement of the bracket within which his estimated gross
receipts for the remainder of the current license year will
fall and concurrently therewith pay the license tax computed
upon such estimated gross receipts according to the bracket
system provided in subsection (a) of this section; provided,
that the minimum license fee to be paid shall be Twenty-five
($25. 00) Dollars.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
