Chairman Simmons called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll call
was taken. H. Bayer, L. Kelly, J. Eichelberger, and D. Neir were
absent.
There being no additions or corrections, Chairman Simmons declared
the minutes of the April 10, 1990 meeting approved as presented.
Case No. 237-101789Z - Continuation of Public Hearing regarding
zoning ordinance update process.
The Board discussed the proposed B-1 zoning district and made the
following changes:
Section 9-82 Permitted Uses:
No. 10 - Drycleaning establishments and laundries should be
drop off and pick up facilities only (no processing
on site).
No. 11. Discussed meat markets.
Suggest putting meat markets in B-2 under
Conditional Uses.
There was a long discussion regarding meat markets in B-1
zoning district. Mr. J. Lohmar (resident) opposed meat markets
in the B-1 category and asked if it could be put in B-2.
Delete No. 16
Add Video Rental Stores to permitted uses.
Section 9-83 Conditional Uses:
Delete No. 5 (Package wine and beer as an accessory use
to permitted use.)
Mr. Waldock discussed the zoning update process and the changes in
zoning designations. Once all categories are completed, the new
designations will be applied to a new zoning map.

There was some discussion on PUD's in B-1 district.
B-2, General Business District.
The intent of this district is to accommodate a broad range of
retail and service uses of moderate intensity. The development
found in this classification may range from single use sites to
multi-tenant commercial centers.
Section 9-90 Permitted Uses:
Some duplications were noted,in permitted uses - these will be
deleted.
The Board agreed to add auto parts and accessories to permitted uses.
Delete No. 11 (Cocktail lounge, tavern).
Section 9-91 Conditional uses:
No. 3 - Add "automotive machining".
No. 6 - Add "or semi truck trailers".
No. 8 - Should read: "Commercial satellite earth stations".
Hearing continued to June 12, 1990.
