Home My Public Portal About2024-03-05 Presidential Primary Report Report of the Presidential Primary March 5th, 2024 Report of the Presidential Primary March 5th, 2024 In accordance with the warrant, the inhabitants of Brewster, qualified to vote in the Presidential Primary met at the Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main Street, Brewster, on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024. The polls were declared open at 7:00 am. The elections workers duly sworn-in were: Charles Winn, Warden; Joan Scheffer and Glenda Normand, Precinct 1 Clerk; June Cameron, Precinct 2 Clerk; Lauren Elliot-Grunes and Sharon Ryone, Precinct 3 Clerk; Checkers and Counters were as follows; Cheryl Avery, Anne Best, Dave Briggs, Nancy Burdych, Susan Daly, Jim Eddy, Mary Eddy, Beth Finch, Steve Frissora, Robert Harris, Amy Harbeck, Rheanna Hastings, Jim Holland, Peter Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Judy Lagergren, James Lieb, John Martens, Cynthia Mathison, Julie Menges, Mary Jo Nabywaniec, Marjorie Oliver, Marcia Otto, Peter Scheffer, Bruce Semple, Patricia Stanley, Elizabeth Taylor, Karent Whitney, Thomas Thatcher, and Jayanne Monger, Assistant Town Clerk. 2477 Brewster voters requested vote-by-mail ballots of which 1927 were returned on time and cast on election day representing 22% of the voter total for the day. The Presidential Primary In-person early voting period was held February 24th through March 1St, at the Brewster Town Hall. There were a total of 105 ballots cast during this time, these ballots were all placed through the tabulating machines at the polls on Election Day, and are calculated in the totals below.
