Anderson. L. Kelly, M. Gehrke, D. Norris, G. Krahn, E. Schrader, Fire District Rep. Chairman Simmons called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. Roll call was taken. J. Sobkoviak, H. Bayer, R. Russ, A. Arbor, J. Wilson and J. Eichelberger were absent. There being no additions or corrections, Chairman Simmons deeemed the minutes of the June 7, 1988 meeting approved as presented. Chairman Simmons reminded the Board the July 5th meeting is cancelled, and the July 19th meeting will be the Comprehensive Plan public hearing. Also, there will be a special meeting on August 9th. County Case - Rousonelos, Requesting Special Use Permit for spinach processing involving washing and packaging of fresh spinach. Property located at the north side of Whiskey Road in Section 6 of Plainfield Township. Attorney Richard Kavanagh was present on behalf - of Petitioners Michael, Peter, and Andrew Rousonelos requesting a special use permit in an agricultural district for year round processing of spinach. The property is a 23.767 acre parcel,-which includes a pole building, another building, parking area, and office area. Petitioner stated there.is no intention to build another building. Petitioner stated there will be more truck traffic. ".Has written to the Township Road Commissioner and hag- not received a response yet. The Fire District has no objection. South Cook and Will Soil Conservation District responded there is no need for approval from them because basically there is no change. Several adjoining landowners were present and expressed their concerns about the truck traffic. They stated the semi's are up and down the roads day and night right now and are not obeying the load limit. Chair4an Simmons stated that is an enforcement problem wherein the County should be notified of the violations. G. Krahn asked if this processing calls for a lot of water,.and where.does the- water.go after the washing of the spinach. Petitioner stated it does call for some water and assumes it goes back into septic field or settling tanks. Regarding the truck traffic, Petitioner stated he would notify the Sheriff's office and the Township Commissioner to patrol the area to see that the trucks use the proper roads. Krippel moved to recommend that the Village Board not object to the Rousonelos request for special use permit for processing of spinach with the stipulation that Petitioner contact the Township Road Commissioner and the County Sheriff's Department for stricter enforcement of truck traffic to and from the Petitioner's farm. Seconded by W. Schempf. Roll call vote. Anderson, yes; Schempf, yes; Krippel, yes; Simmons, yes. 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Case No. 184-61588FP - Renwick Park Estates (Ron Schelling) Requesting Final Plat approval for property at 1018 W. Renwick Road. Attorney Richard Kavanagh was present on behalf of Petitioner requesting Final Plat approval for Renwick Park Estates subject to engineer's approval. Attorney Kavanagh stated the requests of the Plan Commission and Village Board with respect to the existing berm on the south line, TV inspection, Lewood Drive's elevation being lower in this subdivision than it is at the north end of Lewood Drive, and three detention areas have been addressed. All of these will be in the engineering for Mr. Djerf's review. Several residents of the Lewood Subdivision were present and requested the existing berm remain, and the roads not be torn up during construction. There was a long discussion regarding construction traffic. The Lewood residents requested the--.construction traffic use Renwick Road and not Fraser Road. They also requestdd that Petitioner have signs posted to have the truck traffic use Renwick Road. M. Krippel moved to recommend that the Village Board approve the Final Plat of Renwick Park Estates subject to the engineering review. Seconded by J. Anderson. Roll call vote. Anderson, yes; Schempf, yes; Krippel, yes; Simmons, yes. 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Renwick Road. Discussion: Attorney Richard Kavanagh was present on behalf of Petitioner requesting Final Plat approval for Renwick Park Estates subject to engineer's approval.
