ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , AUTHORIZING
AND PERMITTING THE MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT THE USE
OF AVAILABLE FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RELOCATION OF EXISTING
UTILITIES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROUTE 179 .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1 . The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed, for and in the name of the City, to
execute this document authorizing and permitting the Missouri
State Highway Department the use of available Federal Aid Urban
Program funds for the City of Jefferson in conjunction with the
relocation of existing utilities for the construction of
Route 179 .
SECTION 2 . Whereas the City of Jefferson has entered into
a Federal Aid Urban Program agreement with the Missouri State
Highway Commission as per Ordinance #8704, and whereas the City
of Jefferson has also entered into an Urban Agreement with the
Missouri State Highway Commission for the construction of
Route 179 , Job #5-U-179-139 , as per Ordinance #9127 , whereby
the City is responsible for the obtaining of permanent ease-
ments and utility relocation, be it therefore ordained the
City approves the use of currently available Federal Aid Urban
Program funds for said purposes .
SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval .
