AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO . 9224 AND ENACTING A NEW
ORDINANCE TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF GREENLEAF
ROAD, IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY TO MAKE, EXECUTE AND DELIVER
TO THE PRESENT ADJOINING OWNERS ALL PROPER AND SUFFICIENT
WRITINGS , DEEDS OR INSTRUMENTS TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS AND
PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that the City Council
of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, deems it necessary and
expedient to vacate and discontinue :
Part of the vacated right-of-way of Greenleaf Road
in Buehrle Subdivision, Section 2, in the City of
Jefferson, Missouri, per plat of record in Plat Book
7 , Page 87 , Cole County Recorder' s Office, and more
particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot No. 93
of said Buehrle Subdivision, Section 2, thence west
perpendicular to the easterly line of Greenleaf Road,
as shown on said plat of record in Plat Book 7, Page
87 , to the westerly line of said Greenleaf Road as
shown on said plat; thence southerly and southeasterly
along the westerly and southwesterly line of said
Greenleaf Road, to the quarter Section line; thence
east along the said quarter Section line, to the
southwesterly corner of a tract conveyed to Robert J.
Major, etal , by deed of record in Book 225 , page 579 ,
Cole County Recorder' s Office; thence North 62 degrees
35 minutes 30 seconds west , along the westerly line
of the said tract, 60.28 feet, to the northwesterly
corner of said tract; thence northwesterly and
northerly along the northeasterly and easterly line
of said Greenleaf Road, as shown on said plat of
record in Plat Book 7 , page 87 , to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. The aforesaid part of Greenleaf Road, in the
City of Jefferson is hereby forever vacated and discontinued as
a public thoroughfare and the right of reversion of such portion
of said street in the adjoining and abutting owner and owners
as is provided by the Statutes of the State of Missouri is
hereby fully confirmed, ratified and approved. . The Mayor of
this City is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver all proper and sufficient writings , deeds or instruments
for, on behalf of, and in the name of the City to fully and
completely guarantee to the adjacent and abutting property owner
or owners his or their legal rights in connection with the
above vacation of the aforesaid portion of the aforesaid street .

SECTION 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in con-
;t flict with, contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions
` :. of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.

force from and after its passage and approval .
