` AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 9057, THE ELECTRICAL CODE, BY MODIFYING AND AMEND-
ING SECTION 3. 01 SECTION 4.2, SECTION 12, AND ADDING A NEW SEC-
TION 4.2.B.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend Section 3.0 of Ordinance No. 9057, as follows:
In line five and six, delete the words, "one of whom shall
be the Chairman of the Public Utilities Conunittee of the
City Council" , and insert in lieu thereof, "one of whom
shall be the Director of Planning and Code Enforcement" .
Section 2. Amend Section 4.2 as follows:
In the second line delete the word "should" , and insert
in lieu thereof the word "shall" .
Section 3. Amend Section 12, as follows:
Delete the paragraph titled "Service Connections" , and in-
sert in lieu thereof the following: '
Service Connections shall be charged at the rate of 2 cents
per amp with a minimum fee of $5.00. Size of service shall
be calculated on the secoridary -curreirit.
Delete the paragraph titled "Electric Fixtures" , and insert
in lieu thereof the following:
Electric Fixtures - First unit of one to ten fixtures -
$1.00 per unit.
Thereafter each unit of ten fixtures -
. 50 cents per unit.
.Add the following:
Miscellaneous Fees - In no case shall the fees for permits
be less than the following:
Commercial swimming pools - $10. 00
Residential swimming pools - 5. 00
For structures not previously
wired - 5.00
For alterations and additions
to existing wiring - 4.00
Re-inspections - $10. 00
Section 4. Add a new Section 4. 2.B, to read as follows:
Residential Electrician' s License - An applicant may apply
for a temporary residential electrician' s license upon the
payment of a fee of $5. 00. 'Said applicant shall be autho-
rized to wire residential structures up to and including a
four unit apartment for a period of one (1) year. At the
completion of the one (1) year probationary period, said

applicant shall be eligible to take an examination for a
residential electrician's license upon the recommendation
of the Electrical Inspector and the approval of the Board
of Examiners and Review. The procedure for applying for
said license shall be similar to that specified in Section
6.1. The Electrical Inspector may revoke the temporary .
permit of the applicant any time during the one (1) year
probationary period upon approval of the Electrical Board
of Examiners and Review. All provisions of Section 4.1,
4.4, and 4. 5, shall apply governing fees, suspension and
revocation'.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
