HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD09315 AMENDED BILL NO. _y INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN 0_4_� ORDINANCE NO. 3/ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, 1978, BY AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF SAID CODE BY ADDING TWO NEW SECTIONS RELATING TO OPERATIONS OF THE TRANSIT SYSTEM. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1. Chapter 11 of the Code of the City of Jefferson 1978, is hereby amended by adding the following sections : Section 11-4. It shall be unlawful to smoke tobacco or other suTstances in any manner or form, or to con- sume food and/or beverages while a passenger on a transit system bus . Section 11-5. It shall be unlawful for any person to interferg with a transit system bus driver while in the exercise of his duties. The term "interfere" shall be defined as the use of or the threat to use violence, physical force or physical obstruction. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
