SPECIAL ELECT"I"ON TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED TERM OF COUNCILMAN WARD 2 IN
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby- declared to be a vacancy in
the office of City Councilman Ward 2 due to the death of Councilman
Harvey Hager.
Section 2. There is hereby called a special election for
® the purpose of filling said vacancy as follows:
a) Candidates for the office of Councilman Ward 2
shall file their declaration of candidacy with. the Clerk
of the City of Jefferson by 5:00 p.m. on Monday,,
September 17, 1979.
b) A primary election shall be held on Tuesday,
October 2, 1979.
c) A general election will be held on Tuesday,
November 6, 1979.
Section 3. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be
forwarded to the County Clerk of Cole County, Missouri, upon
passage and adoption of this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after 'the date of its passage and approval.
