ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH THE UNITED DESIGN & ENGINEERING, INC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and Clerk of the City are hereby
authorized and directed, for and in the name of the City, to
execute a written contract with the United Design and Engineer-
ing, Inc. , for the roofing of the upper roof of the City Hall
building and roofing of the Terminal Building at Memorial Air-
port, for the sum of:
a) City Hall Bldg. - Lump Sum $3,560.00
b) Terminal Bldg. - Lump Sum $5,965.00 plus
Roof Insulation - Unit Price . 35 Board Feet
Section 2. A copy of said contract is attached hereto.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.

THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of
19�, by and between The United Design and EngineerinatIKc.
Party of the First Part, and hereinafter called the Contractor, and
the City of Jefferson, Missouri, acting through its Mayor, thereunto
duly authorized to do so, Party of the Second Part and hereinafter
called the City.
WITNESSETH:
THAT WHEREAS, the City has caused to be prepared, in accordance with
law, specifications and other contract documents for the work herein
described has approved and adopted said documents and has caused to
be published for and in connection with the ROOFING OF THE UPPER ROOF
OF THE CITY HALL BUILDING AND ROOFING OF THE TERMINAL BUILDING AT
MEMORIAL AIRPORT, JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI , in accordance with the
terms of this contract; and City of Jefferson.
WHEREAS, the said contractor, in response to such advertisement, has
submitted to the City in the manner and at the time specified, a
sealed proposal in accordance with the terms of said advertisement;
and
WHEREAS, the City in the manner prescribed by law, has publicly opened,
read aloud, examined and canvassed the proposals submitted in response
to the published invitation therefor, and as a result of such canvass
has determined and declared the aforesaid Contractor to be the lowest
and best bidder for the said work, and has duly awarded to the said
Contractor, a contract therefor, for the sum and sums named in the
Contractor' s proposal, a copy thereof being attached to and made a
part of this Contract.
® NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sums to be paid to the con-
tractor and of the mutual agreements herein contained, the Contractor
and the City have agreed and hereby agree, the Contractor for itself,
himself or themselves, or its, his or their successors and assigns,
or its, his or their executors and administrators, and the City for
itself and its successors, as follows:

TO PROVIDE for the LUMP SUM of $3 ,560 for the City Hall Building
and $5,965. 00 plus . 35 Board Feet for Roof Insulation for the
Terminal Building at the Memorial Airport
those services as required for the successful completion of the
ROOFING OF THE UPPER ROOF AT THE CITY HALL BUILDING AND ROOFING
OF THE TERMINAL BUILDING AT THE MEMORIAL AIRPORT, JEFFERSON CITY,
MISSOURI.
The Contractor agrees to commence work within ten (10) days following
the date of a written order from the City to the Contractor to pro-
ceed with the work to be performed under the provisions of this
Contract, or on a subsequent date designated and authorized by the
City in said Order, and the Contractor agrees to complete said work
within the required thirty (30) days.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The Contractor and the City have executed this
